“Together, we will defeat Ebola.”
U-Reporters in DR Congo know it all too well: Ebola outbreaks can have devastating consequences on communities.
That’s why Moise, Victorine and their young peers are taking to the streets, helping people learn how to keep their children and families safe from the disease.

Stereotypes about what girls can or should do can start narrowing their future long before they get to choose it.
Send EQUAL in a message to us to take UNICEF’s latest poll and tell us what growing up looks like in your community. Your answers will help shape our advocacy for a more equal future.

What if climate action started in the classroom?
Madina, 20, from Tanzania, is helping make it happen.
She is empowering children to turn climate education into practical action. Through her youth-led organisation, she works with schools and communities to make environmental solutions accessible, from water filtration and sanitation to tree planting and environmental stewardship.
At a primary school in Dar es Salaam, her work has helped a WASH club grow from just 20 pupils into a movement of more than 170 young ambassadors, empowering children to explore water filtration, tree planting and environmental stewardship.
She has also helped bring young people's perspectives into national and global conversations. In 2023, she co-designed a Children for Climate Action workshop informed by insights from 12,000 young people gathered through @unicef 's U-Report platform and in-person consultations across Tanzania. In 2025, she brought those voices to the UNICEF Executive Board in New York.
Madina's story shows what becomes possible when young people have the knowledge, opportunity and platform to turn ideas into action.
Imagine the impact if millions more young people had access to the skills, support and investment needed to grow their solutions.
Will you rise with us?

FROM YOUTH VOICES TO CLIMATE POLICY: WHAT YOUNG PEOPLE NEED FOR EFFECTIVE CLIMATE ACTION:
Young people are not just calling for climate action; they are telling us what meaningful action should look like.
In collaboration with UNICEF U-Report, the YOUNGO Global Youth Statement (GYS) 2026 Policy Team is connecting youth-generated insights to climate policy priorities and strengthening advocacy ahead of COP31.
This collaboration brings together three key GYS outputs:
📌 Global Youth Statement (GYS) 2026
📌 Local and Regional Conferences of Youth (LCOY/RCOY) version
📌 Child-Friendly GYS version
Alongside these outputs, our U-Report visual series explores five key themes emerging from young people’s responses:
📚 Climate education and youth action
💰 Accessible climate finance
🏫 Child-responsive climate adaptation
💚 Education, health and recovery
🗣️ Meaningful youth participation and accountability
Each theme is connected to relevant policy pathways, including Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE), climate finance, adaptation, health, loss and damage, and inclusive decision-making.
These insights reinforce the GYS 10 Key Priorities and highlight what young people need: knowledge to act, resources to deliver, protection from climate risks, support to recover and meaningful opportunities to shape decisions.
The call is clear: translate youth evidence into inclusive policies, stronger climate commitments and meaningful action.
Swipe through, explore the policy connections and join the conversation🧑💻👩💻
Five themes. Ten Key Priorities. One Global Youth Voice. 📣
