THOMAS BANGALTER / SONGS FOR ANREALAGE
歴史ある工場で生まれたレコードを、Sarah Andelman @sarahandelman がキュレーションする東京・原宿「JUST AN REAL AGE by JUST AN IDEA」にて、限定数で販売します。

Thomas Bangalter — "Music for ANREALAGE"
¥9,900 (tax included)
Two pieces of music written by Thomas Bangalter @thomasbangalter, formerly of Daft Punk @daftpunk, especially for ANREALAGE @anrealage_official, are now on vinyl.
The record was pressed at The Vinyl Factory, the former EMI plant in Hayes, on the outskirts of London. Born in this historic factory, it will be sold in limited numbers at "JUST AN REAL AGE by JUST AN IDEA" in Harajuku, Tokyo, curated by Sarah Andelman @sarahandelman.

For these two Paris collection shows @shigekaneko.co.ltd @parisfashionweek @prconsulting, Thomas turned his own voice into music. That is why we deliberately titled this vinyl SONGS FOR ANREALAGE, rather than MUSIC FOR.
Our story with Thomas began in 2024, with "Mirage," a new ballet created by Damien Jalet @damienjalet and Kohei Nawa @nawa_kohei for the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève. Thomas composed the music; we designed the costumes. The conversation with Thomas did not end when the curtain fell — it carried on to Paris.
What we share with Thomas is a sensibility that lives between the human and the technological. And a commitment to always creating on the edge of experimentation.

Warehouse Artefacts is an immersive installation by Thomas Bangalter, Julian Charrière, and Rampa. Commissioned by Art Basel, Fondation Beyeler and Nordstern, it transformed a 3,500 sqm hall at Messe Basel into a deconstructed dancefloor.
Centered on a monumental glass monolith, the work brought together the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the communal legacy of underground dance music. The 1948 articles, read by Eleanor Roosevelt on an analogue Studer tape machine, were framed and contained within the structure.
Beyond the cube, visitors entered a vast environment composed of a TEILE ambisonic sound system, hundreds of moving lights, motorised chain hoists in constant motion, analogue xenon strobes, haze and fog. The entire installation was conducted by the seismic pulse of a Roland TR-808 bass drum, stretched hundreds of times beyond its original duration.
As rhythm became a connective tissue between bodies, the installation ultimately unfolded into a rave with performances by Thomas Bangalter and Rampa, dissolving the boundary between artwork and audience.

Warehouse Artefacts is an immersive installation by Thomas Bangalter, Julian Charrière and Rampa, commissioned by Art Basel, Fondation Beyeler and Nordstern Basel.
Set inside a vast industrial hall within the Art Basel fairgrounds at Messe Basel, the project blurred the boundaries between exhibition, social experiment and rave, paying homage to electronic music culture as a space for experimentation, expression and collective imagination.
At its centre stood a monumental glass monolith sealing an analogue tape machine and amplification system. From within, Eleanor Roosevelt’s 1948 reading of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights resonated through the glass, its message at once amplified and physically obstructed.
Throughout the day, her voice intertwined with the seismic pulse of a Roland TR-808 bass drum stretched hundreds of times beyond its original duration, transforming sound into a tangible material that could be felt as much as heard.
As night fell, the installation became the party, and the party became the installation. With performances by Thomas Bangalter and Rampa, the dancefloor evolved into a choreography of encounters, unpredictability and shared presence, where every dancer, every listener and every body in the room became part of the work itself.
Warehouse Artefacts reflects on how meaning, memory and community are continuously produced through shared experience.
Thank you to our invaluable supporters and sponsors, without whom this project would not have been possible: Audemars Piguet, Kulturstiftung H. Geiger, Bank Cler, MCH Group, TEILE, Basel Tourismus, and Parker Live.
Warehouse Artefacts was presented by ART.KLUB.

For La Caverne du Pont Neuf, @thomasbangalter approached sound as a physical material, using analog modular synthesizers to weave organic layers that evoked the mineral texture of the cave, and the winds engulfed in its imaginary acoustics. This lithograph captures that same spirit of craftsmanship. The print reveals a 41-second spectrogram from his composition, translating invisible, sustained, and oscillating frequencies into a permanent trace.
A rare look at how the sonic fabric of the project was documented: from ephemeral sound to something you can hold.

Warehouse Artefacts – an immersive work by @thomasbangalter , @Julian.Charriere, and @Rampa_Keinemusik – opened during @artbasel 2026.
Conceived as a deconstructed 3,000 m² dancefloor, the installation brought into collision two unlikely artefacts of the twentieth century: the utopian promise of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the raw physical language of underground dance music. At its centre, a single voice and a single drum – the archival recording of Eleanor Roosevelt reading the Declaration, and the endlessly extended pulse of a Roland TR-808 bass drum. Hope and pressure.
The project culminated on 20 June 2026 with a 3,500-person gathering and performances by Thomas Bangalter and Rampa.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the commissioners of Warehouse Artefacts: Maike Cruse and Art Basel, Sam Keller and @FondationBeyeler and Agi Isaku with @NordsternBasel + @art.klub.basel . Thank you also to Julian Homann, Scharon Seeholtzer, Felix Deufel (Spatial Sound Designer), Víctor Mazón Gardoqui (Spatial Light Designer), Guilherme Pedrosa, Patricia Bondesson Kavanagh, David Schlectriem & the Julian Charrière team, Johannes Förster and crew, Baptiste Schicklin (Lighting Designer and Operator), Ben Dietrich (Lighting Designer, Evening Program), Florian Lagatta (Sound Engineer of Thomas Bangalter), Samuel Hügin (Pre-Project Planning), Kevin Sierra (Technical Planner), Reinhard Hoehn (Technical Project Lead) and Nelson Mahler (Head Rigger) from AudioRent Clair, Justin ‘Houston’ Frey (Sound Engineer, Keinemusik), Stefan Karl (Project Manager), Cornelius Ketteler and Felix Hensle (Technical Department) from TEILE @teile.life , and all others who helped bring this immense work to life. And to each and everyone of you that came and brought this unforgettable energy!

Warehouse Artefacts opens Saturday June 20, 2026 – an immersive experience created in collaboration with @thomasbangalter , @julian.charriere and @rampa_keinemusik
Presented by @art.klub.basel ,at the centre of a vast industrial space inside of Art Basel, a sealed glass monolith housing a Studer analogue tape machine plays a recording of Eleanor Roosevelt reading the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Though amplified, Roosevelt’s voice remains obstructed by the glass. In the surrounding soundscape, the bass drum of a Roland TR-808 is stretched beyond its original duration, transforming a signal into sonic presence. As a foundational sound of electronic music, it becomes a sustained vibration moving through space like a physical force.
This work unites a hopeful declaration struggling to be heard with a pulse that continues to bring people together, drawing on both political histories and underground music scenes, asking how meaning and community are produced in moments of crisis.
Warehouse Artefacts is presented by @nordsternbasel in cooperation with @artbasel and @fondationbeyeler . It opens to the public, as part of Art Basel, on the 20th of June, 2026.
