Five days, 32km, and a lot of coastline worth covering slowly.
Boots going sandy at Boulder Point on Tasmania’s east coast, a lunch cove scattered with rare shells, the lighthouse at Eddystone Point, a kayak down the Ansons River. Back each night to a private camp or lodge tucked into the dunes, where dinner is prepared and wine is freshly poured.

Starting before the sun, trekking up to the summit is the highlight of Day 5 of our Larapinta Signature Walk.
Enjoy sunrise tea or coffee at a rocky plateau before climbing up the ridgeline with stunning views across the ranges on both sides. Following the descent, enjoy a quick dip in the Finke River, before returning for camp for evening charcuterie boards, fresh G&Ts and a delicious steak dinner.

Delivered On The Overland Track ⛰️
No roads in, no problem. This online order went the long and rough way: a fresh pair of La Sportiva TX5 Evo Mid GTX boots, carried to Pelion Hut by @jockgunn from @taswalkingco. Handed over right in the middle of the Overland Track, after a guest’s boots gave up and fell apart mid-walk.

Your guide to hiking the Three Capes Track in Tasmania (+ giveaway) 🥾🌊

If you’re looking for a multi-day hike with dramatic coastline, huge sea cliffs, lush forest and some gorgeous huts, this one is worth adding to the list!!
THE BASICS (save this):
• Distance: ~48 km (more with side trips)
• Duration: 4 days / 3 nights
• Difficulty: Moderate
• Route type: Point-to-point
• Region: Tasman Peninsula
• Getting there: ~1.5 hours from Hobart to Port Arthur + boat transfer to the trailhead at Denman’s Cove
GETTING THERE:
You’ll make your way to Port Arthur before jumping on a boat across the bay to Denmans Cove, where the hiking begins.
One thing to keep in mind: the boat transfer is part of the adventure, so this isn’t a hike where you can simply rock up to a carpark and start walking 😂
WHERE YOU STAY:
There are two ways to tackle the track…
SELF-GUIDED: Stay in the public huts, which have bunk rooms, toilets and basic cooking facilities.
GUIDED: You can stay in private accommodation with proper beds, showers, cooked meals and some VERY nice extras. I did the guided option with @taswalkingco and honestly… coming back to a hot shower and cooked meal after a day of hiking was 10/10
