This is great new space right in Orange County that can accommodate all your production needs. They have several different spaces that include LED Walls, Cyc Wall, Podcast setup and more. Watching high jump in real time is cool. But in super slowmo? It's like gravity just couldn't be bothered.

I've had the privilege of receiving thoughtful mentoring on how to layer biomechanics with engaging visuals—filming in a way that enhances analysis without losing the human side of performance. It's harder than it sounds, but it's starting to click.

Managed to capture both:
✅ Measurable ground contact time on takeoff
✅ Victory roar celebrating the result

**Fellow gear nerds:** Fujinon Duvo 24–300mm on my Freefly Ember. Turns out they go together like ice cream and cookies—zoom + high speed, all in-camera. Only post was a real-time ramp and a touch of color.

Here’s an excellent skill demonstration from the dance technical review session with @ivcdance. Sometimes I can hardly believe the fantastic scenarios I get to film! There were many first with this one.
First time…
shaping light with the Nanlux Evoke 1200
relying on my Sekonic light meter indoors
working with an Aerial artist and Lyra (hoop for us uninitiated)
making time to color grade my footage (it’s a start)
Thanks to @nanluxamericas and @penywhisl for the support to stretch my skills and imagination just a little further than what was comfortable.
Nanlux provided the Evoke 1200s and Forza 500. Without their help, you’d all be looking at a blank screen😂
Jenn was able to bring in Aerial performers at the end of the session and trusted we would figure it out. Teamwork makes the dream work😁
Gabi (artist/performer) was outstanding. She’s also an instructor for the Aerial classes at Irvine Valley College. If you’re interested in learning foundational basics in the hammock, silks, and Lyra, you should check it out. We were discussing the technique and physics of the Lyra when she mentioned using the Hammer throw as an example for new students. That’s the moment I knew we were going to have an outstanding session🤓 📏

Learning is fun, and man, we learned a lot while filming divers at USA Diving's Region 12 Championships. The staff, coaches, divers, and parents were exceptional.
The response our footage received was overwhelmingly positive. We are passionate about what we do and have no doubts regarding the tremendous untapped potential for education, analysis, and artistry. But confirmation from the people you seek to serve every once in a while is nice.
Many thanks to everyone who helped us organize and successfully perform at the event!!

High-speed video Dance Technique session with Jennifer La Curan and IVC Dance made possible by @nanluxamericas
These lights (Evoke 1200) are like having superpowers; I can illuminate anything almost anywhere!! They’re miniature suns to do my bidding☀️☀️😆
We had an incredible amount of fun exploring movement and observing the impact of Jennifer’s cues on the dancers’ performance as they implemented her suggestions.
It was fantastic to learn how much the dancers valued the clarity high-speed video provided—both in revealing what was holding them back and comparing their before and after to identify how they improved.🔍📏

I had a blast collaborating with the Irvine Valley College Dance Department on this piece!
The dancers and director were phenomenal to work with, and I got to fly, film the beauty of human movement, and laugh on the same gig😁
