If you don’t know how incredible the triple jump is, you really should. ⁣ ⁣ No other intentional movement in sport subjects a human limb to more force than the step in the triple jump. How much force? BACK-TO-BACK ALL-STATE 🐺🔥 For the second consecutive year, Brandon Doctor earned Second Team All-State honors at the 3C2A State Championships, finishing 7th in California in the men’s high jump. 7th Place at State Second Team All-State Cleared 1.95m in the High Jump Personal Best of 2.05m this season While this may not have been the height Brandon was aiming for, his consistency at the state level continues to stand out. STATE RUNNER-UP 🐺🥈 Makayla Fairman continued rewriting Cuyamaca history at the 3C2A State Championships with a runner-up finish in the women’s heptathlon, scoring 4,619 points. 🥈 2nd Place in the Heptathlon 📊 4,619 Total Points 📖 PR in 7 events After placing 7th at the state meet in 2025, Fairman returned this season stronger than ever, improving in every event and breaking her own school record for the third time in her career. She previously reset the school record twice during the 2025 season before once again raising the standard in 2026. Yesterday at the CCCAA State Championships , Alonna Bush did what no other athlete had ever done before in Cuyamaca History. Qualify for 2 individual track events and the relay. @_alonnabush.track_ started the day with a BANG in her premier event - the 400m dash. Running just off her PR, Alonna brought it home in a time of 56.51 to place 2nd and garner the title of All-American! In her 2nd event of the day, the 200m dash, Alonna placed 8th, to become 2nd team All-State with her time of 25.03. In her 3rd event (additional post later about the entire team) Alonna anchored the 4 x 400m to place 5th, bringing the team home a 2nd team All-State recognition. What a career she has had at Cuyamaca . 4 school records, anchoring the first ever relay to qualify for the state meet and a great team leader on and off the field. Dedication. Professionalism. Excellence. These are just some of the words that come to mind when anyone mentions Alonna.
