No single piece contributed more to Sō Percussion’s early development than Steve Reich’s Drumming. The 75-minute, four-movement piece showed us what the percussion art form was capable of. Join us next week as we kick off our Brooklyn Sō Laboratories series with TUNING TUBES on October 22! German based ensemble GruppeMOMENT presents new chamber music by Cenk Ergün and improvisations developed from the music of its mixed-reality project Pilot & Spiele, using specially built tube-instruments. At Sō Labs, the ensemble shares this material as part of its artistic exchange with Ergün. Jason Treuting and Ergün have been playing together for 30 years.
