On June 2, 2025, @alliancefored, alongside our partners @mentalhealthcoalition, @clintonglobal, @officialwondermind, @huntsmanmentalhealth, and @thechain, hosted the third-annual World Eating Disorders Action Day (worldeatingdisordersday.org) Summit at the @unitednations.⁠ This year’s summit took a deeper look at breaking harmful biases, supporting families, and understanding the unique experiences of athletes affected by eating disorders. ⁠ We were honored to open the morning with remarks from Dr. @eva.trujillo, global co-chair of @worldeatingdisordersday, followed by a message from our Founder and CEO, @johannakandel.⁠ ⁠ 💬Panel 1, Breaking Bias and Supporting Families, featured moving insights from @chelseaclinton, @williamhornby, @cheveseturner, @shaliniw88, and @dralfiee.⁠⁠ 💬Panel 2, Athletes & Eating Disorders, explored the pressure, stigma, and recovery journeys of athletes, featuring @huntermcgrady, @kailightner, @patrickdevenny, @la_tiamariana, and Jillian Lampert (@emilyprogram).⁠ ⁠ Thank you to our incredible emcee @lindsayell for leading the program, @thepouf for heartfelt closing remarks, and to every attendee who joined us.⁠ ⁠ Eating disorders affect individuals of all ages, sizes, genders, races, and backgrounds.
