Creating each frame by hand with watercolor was far more challenging than I imagined, but I hope all the time and effort I put into it comes through in the final result.#Art #Watercolor #Animation #HandDrawn #ArtHistory

Every generation has faced it.
Long before television, the internet, or social media, leaders, kingdoms, and powerful organizations understood one simple idea: information can influence the way people think.
Throughout history, messages have been used to inspire courage, strengthen unity, encourage cooperation, or shape how entire societies viewed the world around them. At other times, the same methods have fueled fear, division, and hostility.
Why does this happen? Because the human brain is designed to process familiar, emotional, and repeated information quickly. Repetition creates familiarity, emotions capture attention, and our natural tendency to trust the people around us can reinforce certain ideas without us even noticing.
These mechanisms are not unique to politics or history—they are part of normal human psychology. Advertising, storytelling, and everyday communication rely on many of the same principles.
That’s why one of the most valuable skills anyone can develop is critical thinking. Looking at different perspectives, asking questions, checking evidence, and staying curious make it much easier to separate facts from persuasion.
The human brain is incredibly powerful. Understanding how information influences it is one of the best ways to make thoughtful decisions in any era.

Humans have always loved sweetness - our taste receptors evolved to make us seek out sweet, calorie-rich fruits. For most of human history, that sweet taste came from fruits and, in some regions, from honey. But this was not the case everywhere. For example, on the territory of New Guinea, people were already using sugarcane around 10,000 years ago.
Still, most of the world continued using natural sweeteners until humans learned how to make sugar. For a long time, sugar remained extremely expensive because it was produced from sugarcane, and transporting it across the world from tropical regions was costly.
But in 1747, a German chemist discovered that sugar could also be extracted from ordinary beetroot, which had previously been used mainly as animal feed. This discovery gradually marked the beginning of the sugar era.
Today, very few people can imagine life without sugar. Personally, I think sugar was an incredible discovery - as long as we do not overdo it.

In the modern world, our perception of plastic is largely connected to the fight against it. Plastic waste is indeed one of the most serious environmental problems today because it breaks down very poorly through chemical processes and is almost unaffected by biological decomposition. The problem is that humanity created a material that was simply too good - its invention came before we were truly ready for it. On Earth, there are almost no materials that can remain as stable and resistant to the environment as plastic for thousands of years. And yet, we still have no complete replacement for it.
Plastic is an extraordinary invention. It and other polymer materials made from oil, recycled resources, or alternative compounds are present in almost every object around us. Insulators in microchips, food packaging, containers, chemical equipment, protective suits, mechanisms, and tens of thousands of other things. In many ways, it was plastic that allowed humanity to achieve the scientific and technological breakthroughs of the 20th century that we rely on today.
But as we know, a material itself cannot be guilty - everything depends on the people who use it. We truly need to think about recycling, responsible consumption, and reducing plastic use where it is unnecessary.
Plastic is an incredible invention, but it is simply too durable for irresponsible use.

Our memory is changeable and deceptive. It can preserve the finest details with precision or fabricate convenient events that never actually happened.
Any somewhat intelligent being has memory or its analogues. Evolution created this tool to protect us, to prevent dangerous actions based on past experience.
But with humans, the situation is different. Our brain and psyche have long stopped serving only survival. A system as complex as the human mind is capable of distorting reality if it helps preserve mental stability. This is how traumas form - burdens many of us carry throughout our lives.
Yet the same mechanism allows us to keep the warmth of happy moments, to preserve places that no longer exist, and people we will never see again.
Our mind is complex. It often fights itself in pursuit of goals that are not always rational. We may love and hate our memory at the same time - but in the end, it is memory that makes us who we are. Without it, two people would hardly differ. It is memory that creates identity.
