In my column for the @ft_weekend, I mentioned the peerless @mrniland and I will be returning to him, and the magnificent lunch I had recently at @saintpeterpaddo (somewhere I always make sure to visit while in Sydney) here soon, but for now I want just to bring you his epic Double Yellowfin Tuna & Swordfish Belly Bacon Cheeseburger, a dish that is at once extraordinarily inventive and immediately approachable — on top of which, it is just joy-giving in the extreme. Eating his food makes me glad and grateful to be alive. More anon, but it’s such a wonderful feeling, I needed to express it now! 06 Nov 2026
