…..i have no words to describe this comp. it’s been the most emotional comp I ever done in all my career so far for different reason . Big fatigue, big hope, big anger, big sorprese, big depression, and biggest happy ever: Every this things in this week of work and sometimes I felt almost all this emotions just in a day 🤯🤯. Congrats to @natalia_grossman , @chaehyun.s and @gejostasa for the great performance ( I’ve been impressed to the great energy of stasa in the final). Congrats to @toby_climbing … what a final!! (I think to having almost cried when you topped the fourth problem), And @leedo_ss and @ogata.yoshiyuki for the fight!!
About the team:
I had the luck to work with special persons as Matthias , one of the best chief i ever had . He guided us with cleverness, listening, putting respect first of everything . The work came out naturally and with fun. And I thing our emotional part came out too . Thanks to @tsukuru_8611 , incredible setter and friend. It’s always a big privilege and fun work with you.
At the end I just want to say one thing really important to me…I’m really happy and proud about the path we are following as Italian rousetters. We all know how hard it is working or even just to have the opportunities to work on high level . And all of us, with big passion (obstinacy) and demonstrating competence we builded step by step our little path year by years with big efforts, walking only with our personal energies coming from our big passions. I’m really proud of my colleagues and big friends but…I think our path has to continue, after 2 years in Brixen we can say that we are not so bad…

The biggest emotion in my climbing path…I cared so much on this project, I dreamed so much times that moment i’d maybe get out from it. It’s been a long mental game. During the years, everytimes i went beneath this roof trying “Campari soda” or “you drive me crazy” in the resting between attempts, i always traveled with my mind imagining some other lines in that incredible “empty roof”. Around in the 2018, i decided to believe deeply on this project and i intuited a possible way to climb it. I prepared the landing and the game it started. Many days, many pads , many efforts, many dreams. The past year i couldn’t try it cause an injury to my biceps that stopped me and I restarted to climb without big pain in this new year. I decided to don’t follow training programs. Too stressful for the moment , but just climb and training…more naturally, doing what I wanted when I wanted. It sounds normal but for me it isn’t . My approach is always been ..very methodical, and this change of mentality, costed me a big personal effort but..it paid off. i got in shape quickly and i was exited to come back in the game. Probably my heart and my big passion in this activity did what a training program could't do on a "old climber" as me .
So it’s born “Grizzly”.

4 days of workshop flew by. I was really motivated to work with you again @jackygodoffe. You have inspired me so much throughout my career. Coming back to work with you has been really cool. Thanks to @rockmasterfestival for believing in me and letting me organize this event. 4 days of games, discussions, laughs, adjustments… 4 days of setting. It’s always a privilege to have the opportunity to share my passion with other setters from different countries.
Tomorrow we start setting for the Rock Master K.O. Boulder with a dream team.

Definitely fell in love with 🇳🇴 Norway . It felt like our place. Can’t wait until next year. A necessary and healthy trip to escape from the heat and find myself after two really hard years. ROCKMASTER 2025
This year something special is happened. That feeling...the feeling you have when you are on the stage of a real great event. @rockmasterfestival is show, rockmaster is colture, rockmaster is the big history of our sport...from this year i can say with certainty it will be the great future of our sport too. A crazy Crowd of thousands and thousands of enhtusiastic people inflammed the saturday night...what a event.
After 5 years of setting one of the first competitions in the climbing history , 2 first year with @jackygodoffe and than as chief, i’m deemply honored and glad to have had from @angelo_seneci this task. Super motivated looking the future.
Some words about the team...Rockmaster is passion, happiness and motivation to play a game, the game of our sport, the game of the Routesetting. As a chief, from the first year, i tried to build teams that could interpretate this thouth, putting the team at first, a team with people whith the will to play together as priority, a team of friends. I think the success come from this. Thanks for your passion, competence and to have walked this path togheder this year. @davidebassotto @annaborella @stefanscarperi @ohhhzane

In questo periodo dell’anno l’agenda dell’arrampicata sportiva italiana è fittamente popolata da importanti raduni ed allenamenti, tesi a verificare lo stato di forma degli atleti azzurri, a fare il punto della situazione tecnico-prestazionale e a direzionare il lavoro in vista della stagione agonistica internazionale che sarà avviata a breve.
Nella giornata di mercoledì 26 febbraio si è svolto un allenamento per gli atleti della fascia Elite, Ae B Senior della specialità Boulder, presso la palestra Orobia Climbing di Curno (BG), che è stata selezionata come Centro Federale temporaneo proprio per questa specialità.
Il Vice DT Erspamer, ci spiega che, in accordo con il Direttore Tecnico delle squadre Nazionali, Davide Manzoni, “è stato programmato lo svolgimento, ogni mercoledì, di un allenamento specifico dedicato a queste fasce di atleti, per un percorso tecnico continuativo e strutturato. Allenarsi in gruppo è estremamente utile, specie in una disciplina come il Boulder, in cui il confronto è fondamentale. Ogni settimana vengono tracciati nuovi blocchi per lavorare su settaggi diversi, alternando con un metodo ciclico tracciature di alta intensità ed elevata richiesta tecnica e altri blocchi studiati per lavorare sull’ottimizzazione e sull’efficienza di realizzazione.”
Inoltre, una volta al mese verrà organizzato un raduno di 2 giorni per i Senior A ed Elite, per curare la rifinitura in vista delle gare di Coppa del Mondo: il primo appuntamento è fissato per il 22-23 marzo a Parigi assieme ad altri atleti internazionali con una vera e propria simulazione di gara.
Il 27 e 28 Febbraio si è tenuto il Raduno della Nazionale Senior Lead presso l’Urban Wall di Pero (MI).
Il Vice Direttore Tecnico Lead Alessandro Marrocchi ha spiegato: “Ogni atleta aveva a disposizione almeno 4 itinerari, affrontati ‘a vista’ con modalità gara, ricognizione ed isolamento. Questo ha dato modo agli atleti di confrontarsi con uno stimolo allenante altamente specifico ed ai tecnici di ottenere ulteriori dati da inserire in uno storico insieme alle competizioni ufficiali.”

Sabato 25 e Domenica 26 Gennaio si è svolto il primo raduno collegiale per gli atleti Under 17 e Under 19 della Squadra Nazionale Giovanile Boulder, presso la palestra Orobia Climbing di Curno (BG).
Il raduno è stato convocato dal Direttore Tecnico delle Squadre Nazionali Davide Manzoni, coadiuvato dal Vice Direttore di specialità Marco Erspamer, dei Tecnici Danilo Marchionne, Corrado Riva, Jean Pierre Bovo, e del tracciatore Matteo Maffei.
I 32 atleti partecipanti hanno lavorato con serietà ed attenzione, suddivisi in gruppi. La prima giornata è stata focalizzata sull’apprendimento tecnico, mentre la seconda è stata incentrata sulla capacità decisionale nella risoluzione dei blocchi, al fine di ridurre i tempi di salita e migliorare le prestazioni in gara.
Nell’occasione il DT Manzoni e il Vice Direttore di specialità Erspamer hanno presentato agli atleti lo staff della Nazionale Boulder, hanno illustrato il calendario gare e fornito informazioni ai tecnici presenti. Verrà inoltre organizzata a breve una call per tutti gli allenatori, in cui sarà spiegato nel dettaglio il programma di preparazione dei giovani specialisti dei blocchi designati a rappresentare l’Italia in questa stagione agonistica.

Really grateful to each of these boulders…sure they’re not extreme ones but they mean a lot for me. They represent the reborn after a long forced stop. Grateful to enjoy the nature with my family again, grateful for that excitement you feel when you are in front of a new boulder, grateful to share the process with friends and my loves. Big Thanks to everyone with me in the last climbing days.

Rockmaster 24
Really happy to slowly come back in the game. In June I had a delicate surgery and it’s been a long summer of little steps forward and patience. I’m still at 40% but in some months I will come back better than before.🙂
I have to give thanks to @angelo_seneci and @rockmasterfestival to trust in me .
I tried to manage the bouldering comp in the best way I could. Come back to set it’s been exciting and it’s been an honor to set the first comp of the new beautiful wall of @italiaclimbing after to have dreamed it and than drawn it with the aid of other routesetters.
Thanks to the team of strong and good friends. Thanks @tsukuru_8611 to inspire me with your passion and professionality.
And thanks to this two guys , @davidebassotto , @prampoliniantonio for your dedication. Proud of them.
