Can you guess the real deal 🥒👀 As it ripens, the squirting cucumber (Ecballium elaterium) builds pressure in its fruits, allowing it to disperse its seeds as far away as possible when touched. It can launch seeds at almost 30mph and send them flying over 12 metres away! This has led to it being classified as an invasive species in many countries. Despite it being a cousin to many kitchen favourites like cucumber, watermelon and pumpkin, the squirting cucumber is inedible due to the toxic chemicals it contains. Can you guess the right audio?
