Hi, Iām Stacy! šø Iām a trained Master Gardener, author, and flower maximalist who shares how to create gorgeous gardens and bring that garden-inspired way of living into your home.
I believe gardening should add joy to your life, not become another full-time job. Around here, I share practical ways to grow a beautiful, abundant flower garden with an easy-care approach, from choosing the right plants and designing beds that work to keeping them healthy without making everything harder than it needs to be.
But for me, it doesnāt stop at the garden gate. š»
Iām always cutting flowers for the house, decorating with whatās growing outside, filling rooms with houseplants, setting a garden-inspired table, or finding some other way to bring the beauty of the outdoors in.
And after 30+ years of gardening, I can tell you this: being a good gardener doesnāt mean everything you plant thrives. Some plants will be incredible. Others will completely flop. The magic is learning what works in your garden, adapting as you go, and creating something that feels like you.
So if you love beautiful flowers, easier gardening, houseplants, and making home feel a little more connected to the garden, youāre in the right place. šøšæ
Welcome to Bricks ān Blooms. Iām so glad youāre here.

November sunsets with my garden still blooming just hit differently. š
A little golden hour stroll through my front yard garden, where the fall color is glowing and the flowers are still hanging on. Iām in awe of the beauty.

A little sunset stroll through the formal garden. š
The flowers may be wrapping it up for the season, but between the golden leaves, old stone statues, and evening light filtering through the trees, thereās still so much beauty to enjoy.
Come take a walk with me!

What I plant when I want easy wins in my garden.
These are the native plants I come back to again and again because theyāre reliable, resilient, and donāt ask for much once established. Theyāve proven themselves in my garden: through different seasons, weather swings, and years when life gets busy.

If youāre newer to gardening, starting with natives that want to grow where you live makes all the difference. Early success builds confidence, and confidence is what keeps you gardening long-term.
Want to see more? Comment NATIVE and Iāll send you my native plants guide for a pollinator garden.

Thereās so much pressure to rush into the next season. Every scroll says you should already be done with fall and onto Christmas.
But Iād rather live in the season Iām in.
My garden is still in fall, and Iām not ready to let it go yet. So instead of switching everything over at once, I slow roll into the holidays. I blend a little bit of both, starting with whatās already outside, then add a few winter greens here and there and let it build.
By the time Thanksgiving is over, Iām halfway to Christmas without the stress and pressure of getting it all done.
Comment GATHER and Iāll send you my post on how I decorate for fall and Christmas before Thanksgiving.

The annuals arenāt ready, but I am. šš
Fall has peaked in my cottage garden, and these flowers are making it very hard to call it a season! I mean look at all that color.
Virtuoso Vibrant Violet dahlias, SeƱorita Rosalita cleome, Luscious Royale Cosmo lantana, celosia, tall Blue Planet ageratum, and SunPatiens are STILL going.
Note to self: plant these again next year. Theyāve bloomed their heads off all season long! š
Iāve been waiting for frost to make the decision for me, but my tulip bulbs are going in next week. So over the next several days, the annuals are coming out, frost or not.
Itās tough pulling flowers that still look this good, but I know Iāll be glad I did come spring.
Would you pull them or keep waiting?

Everyone asks about these little pots. Hereās why theyāre there.
Those tiny terracotta pots on my garden stakes arenāt just for looks. They actually serve three purposes:
1. Most importantly, they protect my eyes. The pots make the green stakes more visible while Iām working. Iāve had a few close calls, and this simple trick helps prevent another one.
2. They trap earwigs. I can stuff them with newspaper, check daily, and remove any earwigs before they munch on my plants.
3. Theyāre adorable - practical can be pretty too.
Simple. Functional. Cute. A win all around.
Got any clever garden hacks? Drop them below. Iām always looking for new ideas! šø
