A carousel of @joekinder and a small portion of the many memories made over the years. Throughout 2006 - 2010 I traveled with Joe all over North America and Europe to countless crags on a non-stop tear. From splitting rent at various houses and rentals, to all the adventuring and laughter along way, I look back with nothing but smiles and great memories. Even today, every time we meet up, we pick up exactly where we left off. Miss ya Joe, I hope dad life is treating you well!

This is incredible. I never repost things but this is different and I wanna champion this accomplishment.
New perspectives for the world of climbing. 9b+, 6 days. FUUUU** YAAAAAAA!!!!!
Major congrats Laura 🎉👏🙌
“Bibliographie 9b+ ✅
When I first came to Céüse, I had no idea what to expect, I had never tried a route this hard before but I immediately felt good on the sections. What was supposed to be a two-day exploration trip turned into a mission to send it, and somehow, the dream became reality in just 6 days on the route.
A huge thank you to my coach @marrocchialessandro for all the work behind this and to @marco_marotta for coming along, supporting me and sharing the process with me.
And a special thank you to everyone who made this possible: to those who lent me a tent, a mat, some dry clothes, a pillow; to those who belayed me, cheered for me, and created such an amazing mood at the crag.
It was defenetly a group send❤️”

Some routes take more than skin.
Years of dedication. Seasons. Relationships. Blood, sweat, tears. Pieces of yourself.
By the time I met Cam in 2024, Big Bone already felt larger than the route itself. It lived in conversation. In training sessions, in plans for the future. Every season, someone would ask the same question:
“Has it gone yet?”
For years, the answer was always no.
As a photographer, I was drawn in by the route. The “king line” of the Fynn Cave. Joe Kinder’s creation. The kind of climb that almost doesn’t feel real until you’re standing beneath it for yourself.
But when I first spent time in the cave with both Cam and Joe, the route wasn’t what stayed with me.
What stayed with me was watching two people who spent years showing up to the same cave, carrying the same dream. Trading beta, stories, frustrations, victories, and whatever else life happened to throw their way. The route gave them a reason to keep coming back, but somewhere along the way it became about much more than just the climbing.
Last week, Cam clipped the chains.
The route is complete, and while a page has been turned, the story is far from over. I’m beyond excited for Cam and grateful to have been present for parts of the journey along the way. Grateful for Joe for allowing me to come out and capture this route in all its beauty.
The photos shot over the course of a few sessions. Quotes pulled from Cam and Joe talking about the route and their friendship.

Super stoked to spend the day out with @joekinder and @cam_horst watching them on a project they’ve been chipping away at for a few years.
Different kind of appreciation when you see this kind of climbing in person.
It’s really cool to witness the vision and dedication Joe has for developing these routes— and the excitement of sharing that process with Cam.
Super inspiring on my end.

@joekinder on his newest FA, Bone Saw (9a/9a+)
Last October I found myself in St George, fresh off my last knee surgery, and had the chance to hit the cave with Joe, Rollin and Cam. Joe was still working out the kinks on this thing. Watching him through the camera make these moves, especially the 360 spin in the middle, was amazing to see. Fast forward to a week ago, he got the send! Mega congrats to him. The strength, dedication and perseverance on a route like this is something so few have đź’Ż

Sometimes things just come down to randomness and luck. A tiny moment can hit you with the best feeling ever. I think that’s part of what climbing gives us—and why we keep chasing it.
I found that moment last week with my send of Bone Saw. It’s a 5-bolt alternative start to the OG Bone Tomahawk, 8c+/9a, (yeah… I believe in slash grades) which I FA’d a decade ago.
From bolting the line, to figuring out how to actually climb this resistance style, to three seasons of training and trying to apply myself at an older age—I finally had that one try where I didn’t fall. Wtf?!
This one means a lot to me, and I’m proud of it. But honestly, I’m mostly just stoked to still be climbing the way I love, with the same passion I’ve always had.
This post is really just to share something new with the community. I don’t care much for the hype and spray… (age does that). What I do care about is sharing what I create, because that’s how I give back to something that’s given me so much.
Like Jonathan said… “our accomplishments are more than a green checkmark ✅”
But yeah… it still feels damn good to check one off.
To all my young frenz… you’ll love it. And probably smash.
Thanks to everyone who supported and encouraged me.

You ever have that moment at the end of the day when everyone’s ready to leave, you’re packed up but also have that voice in your head telling you to try once more? Thanks for the patience ya’ll.
I’m trying.

Sport climbing has very little adventure in it but this is one of them… Unlocking the sequences, the trial and error-process of elimination, and final conclusions are small but exciting moments of developing new routes.
Meet the “Bone Saw” project. A full 360 cartwheel. Wtf?!?!?!
