When wolves come hounding
for kids with F-16s,
when they come for motherland,
when they come—
When a barrel of oil costs more
than human lives,
when the sky is seized by rumbles
of iron and lead,
when rain brings down -
the taste of gunpowder.
Still, we wait for blue skies.
We wait for the rain to wash away
the mushroom cloud,
For grass to grow again
through the stubborn
cracks of bombed homes
And somewhere, a river will
keep moving, as if none of this -
is meant to stay.

24-Hour Orbit
My world spins in twenty-four-hour loops,
anchored— to the brief weight
of a stranger’s question, a conversation
I orbit through fragments:
unfinished thoughts and anecdotes
an evening sky from train journeys,
Each day resets!
Builds again from loose bricks of silence—
a routine, a new voice,.
But ask me about forever, and I step back.
I fear the roads may vanish mid-journey.
So I collect only what fits in a pocket:
stories short enough for one sitting,
goodbyes that don’t echo,
affections that won’t require maintenance.
Not because I don’t want more—
but because I’m still learning
how to carry one day
without dropping it.

To love like a man -
too proud to speak,
silence instead of truth.
Yes, love leaves — not in rage,
but in toothbrushes forgotten
and earrings I still find in drawers
I rarely open.
She said nothing, and
I turned that nothing into a verse.
So no, love is never a lost cause -
It is found in —
songs I skip halfway through,
in a poem I still whisper,
breath held too long in a room,
she once knew!

Butterflies in a glass bottle
I have a bad memory.
But I remember gestures,
smile, conversations—
I remember the person,
who offered the metro seat
when he could sense -
my panic attack.
We are all rescued by strangers—
at train stations—coffee shops—
parks—job interviews—
by eyes that linger just long enough
to say, I see you.
And yet, we remain,
like butterflies in a glass bottle,
bruised but alive,
beating against the walls,
always waiting for the next hand
to set us free.

Memories come in fragments
like a 10 kg explosive detonated,
shattering the mind’s quiet walls,
scattering moments into jagged shards
The blast ripples outward,
leaving pieces lodged in time—
a voice caught in the wind,
a name echoing like a distant cry.
Few memories are -
a warmth that refuses to fade;
others press sharp edges
against the tender places within
The aftermath lingers, a wreckage
that never rebuilds,
a mosaic of scars and light,
pain and beauty, each fragment
carrying its weight— lighter than air -
heavier than promise
Memories remain - not as whole,
but as fragments, as we piece
together again and again

Caressed by the whispers of post boxes
in between dawn - aututmn - jute bags.

She will leave her favourite
notepad open with an empty page.
Facing the blue Goan sky,
on the edge of the teak wood
centre table, where the afternoon
sinks inside the melacholic porch.
With pages of Satyajit ray
all over the floor
Throughout the day - squirrels would
come around and the dust would
start to settle down
The leaves from the Gulmohar tree
and the Shiuli flowers will gather over
the blank sheets
Wind dropped bits of cotton candy
which feels like pink clouds
The empty page of the notebook -
is now a poem

Mother earth has bad breath.
Charcoal toothpaste only works inside
the womb of Villas of Golf Link.
Smog has obliterated the freshness of dawn.
Air purifiers define the proximity of
my planet earth of few meters.
Prints of lip gloss
on round neck sweater is
overrun with silica dust.
Traffic works as, someone
has put water drops on ant trail
Something is always in the making -
roads, water pipelines, high rise.

Monsoon feels like homecoming.
Coffee mugs - the one that still has
the imprints of your
strawberry lip gloss.
Towels smell of Moringa body
wash from body shop
Now, I keep the toilet seat up
and play Iron maiden on volume three
Sundays start at 11 AM and
I don’t have to step out to get
fresh milk for coffee
I don’t wear rainbow colour
shirts anymore
The wine is still waiting
for us to celebrate our 10th.
It is 100 years old now
But the times, they are a-changin’
I have all your photos on cloud
the folder says “good old days”
I remember the idea of us,
but not us anymore!

are the unlucky ones
You lost your virginity -

So, let the blue poppy,
