When I started my career, I really thought I could do it all 😅
I worked 9-5 at my full-time job then spent the rest of my night working on my passion project - YouTube!
It started out as just a hobby and a way to share learning resources I wish I had when I was starting my tech career.
I never planned on working for myself (as someone who’s very risk-adverse!), I just kept following what felt right, and after 4 years, I made the decision to quit my job and pursue my dream career. 🎉
Your career path doesn’t have to follow a big, pre-made plan, it can just start with curiosity and consistency.
And so! - These were all the steps I took to be able to quit my full-time tech job at 25 👩🏻💻
Stepping away from my full-time job gave me the space to reset, rethink what I wanted, and take a real chance on the career goals I’d been putting off.
In the past, I never saw working for myself as even a career option, so I’m really proud of younger-me who made the jump. ❤️🩹
Sometimes the most practical decision you can make is to bet on your own growth.

Here are 7 lessons I learned from my one-month workcation in Asia 💻🌟
As a reminder, a new view doesn’t make your deadlines disappear!
I was about 12 hours ahead of people I worked with, so I had to get better at sending clear updates and finishing my part before their day started.
I also learned that if I didn’t put exploring on my calendar, work would also end up taking up that time too.
Some of my favorite memories came from the unplanned moments: wandering through a neighborhood, finding a spot I wanted to return to, or just slowing down enough to take it all in.
I’m grateful I can work from different places, and this trip reminded me to make time to actually experience them.

Here’s everything we know so far about the Binance hack for $6.34 billion dollars 👩🏻💻💻
According to Binance’s preliminary findings, the attack involved fake job interviews, malicious developer software, compromised employee devices, and an internal AI tool used to move deeper into its systems.
If you work in tech, downloading a coding assignment or trying a new developer tool probably sounds pretty normal.
That’s exactly makes these tactics so concerning, especially when the device also has access to sensitive company systems.
Another detail that stood out was how pausing withdrawals wasn’t enough to stop permissions the attackers had already established on-chain.

If you’re hoping to break into cybersecurity in 2027, the work you do over the next two months can genuinely put you ahead! 👩🏻💻🌟
There are still about two months left of 2026, and winter’s one of the best times to build momentum while everyone else is slowing down for the holidays.
But I also want to be realistic: the entry-level market is very competitive right now, and it can take several months+ of consistent effort to start learning the foundations.
The good news is that you don’t need to do everything at once, and a simple plan can take you far, like picking one foundational certification to study for, building a small home lab where you can practice, and documenting two or three projects you can talk about confidently in interviews 🔒
Along the way, try to share what you’re learning on LinkedIn and start connecting with people already in the field, because a lot of first roles come through conversations and not just applications.
Your resume and your background matter just as much as your technical skills, so spend a little time each week polishing how you explain your background and why you’re making the switch.
