Extreme weather calls for extreme measures. This is how many layers I wear to go skiing in Finnish Lapland in -28 (wind chill -37) 🥶 How many do you wear? #finland #lapland #suomi #skiing #winter #winterfashion #wintersport #veryfinnishproblems 15.8K likes · 382 comments · 05 Jan 2024

New series time. It’s called “Is It, Though?” 🤔 and every episode puts one claim about Finland and the Nordics on trial. Norway goes first because someone with HUGE opinions thinks it’s a shithouse. 🇳🇴 I’ve checked the receipts. Is he right or is he just seething with jealously? 887 likes · 49 comments · 28 Oct 2026

On 12 May 1906 about 25,000 Finns walked into an office with Swedish surnames and walked out with something very Finnish instead. If you had to rename yourself after the view from your window what would you be? Currently mine would be Mr Tennis Court. 8,123 likes · 228 comments · 13 Oct 2026

Collab: Finland’s maddest @ikikiuas saunas, part three. A Ferris wheel cabin full of steam turning 40 metres above Helsinki’s Market Square, heated by a 3.3 kW IKI. I lasted longer than I expected and shorter than I claimed. 😅🔥 Sky sauna, boat or bar? Comment below and I’ll DM you the quiz that tells you what type of sauna person you are, plus a free guide to ten of Finland’s finest saunas. #sauna #finland #helsinki #löyly #ikikiuas 563 likes · 25 comments · 01 Oct 2026

There are nearly 2,000 bears in Finland. Which technique would you use? If you picked the Finnish one you’ll understand why Finland might be the happiest country on earth but not when there are bears about 😉 Comment below and I’ll send you my Finnish Happiness Quiz. It has twelve questions and it will tell you which of the seven kinds of Finnish happy you are. No bear included. #Finland #Canada #suomi #wildlife #bears 16.2K likes · 377 comments · 29 Sep 2026

Some Finnish words need a whole paragraph in English. These five need a shirt. No niin can start a job and end a summer. Sisu gets you through the long dark. Perkele covers everything else. Tap link in my bio veryfinnishproblems.com for these and more 🙂👍 Or tell me your favourite in the comments and I'll send you the link to it. 597 likes · 39 comments · 28 Sep 2026
