Armour, but make it fashion ⚔️
These four dresses all use metal as a key part of their making.
Pugh's silver metal tabs flex but give the impression of heavy armour, and Warkoffska's crocheted metallic yarn looks like elegant chainmail.
1) Dress, with neckpiece, metallic silver neoprene, Gareth Pugh, 2011
2) Evening dress of crocheted metallic yarn, Kostio de Warkoffska, France, 1937
3) Black Wedding Dress, Christian Lacroix, France, 1993
4) Dress, gold metal bodice, designed by Alphadi, Niger, 1988
