An ICONIC wedding for an ICONIC Bride A couple of years ago, Maddie came to me with a vision. And one of my favorite parts of the planning process is walking through a space and imagining everything it could become. I remember driving up the driveway of her childhood home, walking through the property, and mentally designing every moment, from the ceremony to the reception. But I wasn’t just envisioning what these spaces would look like. I was imagining how we wanted people to feel as they moved through them. The anticipation of arriving, the intimacy of a ceremony at her family home, and that unforgettable moment of stepping into a reception space that felt like an entirely different world. Because for me, design has never been just about what you see. It’s about what you feel. We wanted the evening to unfold in layers, each space revealing something new, each detail contributing to an experience that would linger long after the celebration ended. But here’s the thing about creating a wedding like this. The design is only half the story. What you don’t see in these photographs is the level of planning, collaboration, and logistics it takes to bring that vision to life. Being onsite alongside our vendors, walking them through what I’ve envisioned, making adjustments in real time, and ensuring every detail comes together as intended. And this wedding? IT made us WORK. 😂 Because a beautifully designed wedding is one thing. A beautifully designed wedding that is seamlessly executed, even when everything doesn’t go according to plan, is something entirely different. A good planner can design your wedding. An iconic planner designs it, produces it, pivots when needed, and RUNS THE DAMN DAY. 🥂 And that, my friends, is the difference. Fun fact: E & J walked into their September 5th wedding without knowing what their ceremony or reception would look like. The one thing they told us? They loved the feeling of being outside. So inside the @columbusmuseum , we brought the outdoors to them. Trees softened the space. Fountains filled it with the sound of water. Every element was chosen to make the room feel less like a room and more like somewhere they could get lost in the moment. They gave us a feeling….and trusted us to bring together the people who could make it real. Watching them walk into it for the first time was absolutely everything.
