One of the most important lessons I learned at Oregon had nothing to do with swing mechanics.
It was learning how to trust myself and compete with confidence.
Mark Wasikowski helped me understand that I didn’t need to prove everyone wrong. I needed to trust the work I’d already put in and play offense in the batter’s box.
The right mentor can change the trajectory of your career.
If you’re serious about reaching the next level and want to learn from someone who’s already been there, comment 3KV.

No player wants their parents yelling at them to lock in from the stands and no parent wants to be that parent! Let’s get creative!

Comparison can quickly become the thief of our joy.
What’s one area of your life where comparison is distracting you from becoming the best version of yourself?
Remember, someone else’s progress doesn’t diminish your own. Stay in your lane, focus on your growth, and keep showing up.

What are you telling yourself? And is it actually true?
The stories we tell ourselves shape the way we think, feel, and respond. But not every thought deserves to be believed.
We have to become aware of our self-talk, challenge what we’re telling ourselves, and separate what we feel from what is actually true.
Awareness creates the opportunity to make adjustments. Don’t let a lie become the story you live by.
Pay attention to what you’re telling yourself. Is it true?

What if the difference between becoming your best self and slowly drifting away from who you’re meant to be comes down to the choices you make every day?
In this episode, I sit down with former MLB player Ryon Healy for a powerful conversation about what we call Version A vs. Version B. Version A represents the best version of yourself — intentional, disciplined, focused, and living up to your potential. Version B is what happens when you begin to slip — when small compromises, bad habits, distractions, and a lack of intentionality start creeping into different areas of your life.
We unpack what it looks like to recognize the shift, take ownership of where you are, and make the decisions necessary to get back to Version A.
Ryon brings a unique perspective from his experiences as a former Major League Baseball player, mental performance and hitting coach, and broadcaster for the Seattle Mariners. Beyond baseball, he's a husband and father of two who understands that the pursuit of excellence extends far beyond the field.
This conversation is about more than baseball. It's about leadership, personal growth, discipline, relationships, and the daily battle to become the person you know you're capable of being.
The question is: Are you living as Version A, or are you allowing Version B to take over?

300+ reps in 15 minutes. Receiving, infield, hitting. No pitcher, no field, no excuses. Stack them all offseason and spring takes care of itself. @_maxbp #SeparationSeason

Nobody sees this.
5:45 AM. A garage. A machine.
No crowd. No uniform. No stat line.
Just the pitch that beat me last year.
Over and over.
In April they’ll say I got hot.
This is where it happened.
