How does Yellow make you feel? ☀️🍂
Some images are named after a place. This one is named after a color, and the feeling that comes with it.
Few colors are as closely tied to warmth, optimism, and light as yellow. Here it fills a tunnel of white birch trunks in Aspen, golden leaves overhead, soft overcast skies letting every leaf glow. Hang it in a room and the day starts a little brighter, with a quiet glow of calm that’s still there on the gray mornings.

Bora Bora is a sanctuary for photographers. Lush foliage frames every pathway, and every direction offers something new. But on this day, nature had a surprise: a sudden rain shower.
The raindrops fell and the island came alive, the air filled with the sound of water on leaves, the colors sharper and fresher than before. In the distance, Mount Otemanu stood proud with clouds draped over its peak. Then the sun began its slow descent, and golden rays washed across the landscape in a soft, glowing light. As the sun slipped toward the horizon, the sky turned into a masterpiece of color, a fiery sunset blazing over the turquoise water.
Enchanted Lagoon proves that sometimes the unexpected moment is the one worth keeping. 🌴🌅

Do you love the combination of turquoise and gold?
In the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, flooded aspen groves reach up out of Abraham Lake’s turquoise water, their leaves turning from emerald to gold.
Tree of Wonders reflects so calmly on the lake, it looks painted. 🍂

Midnight. Halloween. The walk home looks like this. Your phone has 1% battery left.
Who is walking with you? And which slide do you walk into, and which do you back away from slowly? 🔦

Desert horizons. Rugged mountains. Quiet alpine water. A night sky full of stars. Nevada’s beauty takes many forms, and it’s part of everyday life here.
Happy Nevada Day from our home in Las Vegas.

Some office art is there to impress the room. This piece is there to remind you of something better.
Shifting Gears parks a Porsche 911 Speedster beneath tall palms, in black and white, all clean lines and balanced proportions. It makes the room feel a little bigger than its walls. Glance up between calls and there it is: a good drive, an open road, and the pleasant thought that the day has an exit.
Meetings end. Roads don't. And It's calling.

Look at the shell. Now look at the water around it. Do you see it? 🧡
Along the Atlantic shore of Miami, a sunset rolled across the coast and turned the light low and soft, the kind that dissolves hard edges into pastel. Frame after frame was shot at exposures of around a second, letting the surf blur into a velvety wash. The light peaked for only a few minutes, and those minutes passed like seconds.
In one of those frames, a wave slid in and curved around a conch shell, and the foam pulled itself into a perfect heart.
In a moment, what the the tide made it, it took away, and the camera caught it before it was lost to our imagination.
Beached Heart is literally everything we love about Miami.

The Glade Creek Grist Mill looks like it was lifted straight from the pages of a storybook, so it’s no wonder Nicholas Sparks, author of The Notebook, chose this Silver Award-winning image for his own home.
Fall in West Virginia is a love-story waiting to be written.

Once a year, the forest floor of Saitama catches fire.
The Red Spider Lily, Higanbana in Japanese, blooms for only a brief window each autumn, painting the earth in brilliant crimson before vanishing as quickly as it arrived. Their delicate tendrils reach upward like embers rising from the ground, vivid against the soft, diffused light of a Japanese forest barely awake.
Morning Ember preserves a cherished moment in Japan, permanently. 🇯🇵🌿

Beneath the jungle floor of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, an estimated 10,000 cenotes hide in darkness. Natural sinkholes carved from limestone, each one a gateway to a subterranean world most people never reach.
Navigating through a labyrinth of submerged caves, guided by a single dive light, the world above faded entirely. What waited at the end was something closer to a cathedral than a dive site. Cobalt blue water. Soft, diffused sunlight filtering down from the canopy above. Beneath the surface lay the reward, underwater lilies, swaying in the quiet current, vivid against the dark.
Lilies of the Secret Waters, the Yucatán’s most guarded secret, finally revealed.

Deep within Oregon’s remote Alvord Desert, one of aviation’s most iconic aircraft, the legendary Douglas DC-3, was flown into the wilderness and positioned on an expansive dry lakebed against a backdrop of jagged mountain peaks. As dawn approached, storm clouds rolled across the range, shrouding the peaks in deep blue and violet. Then the rising sun broke through casting a crimson glow across the desert hills while the aircraft remained bathed in the cool tones of the approaching storm.
Introducing the The Art of Flight. Where aviation’s pioneering spirit meets the raw, untamed beauty of the American West. ✈️🏜️

As the sun descended over the rolling hills in Provence, France, rows of deep purple lavender turned to waves of gold and violet. A soft breeze moved through the fields. Long shadows settled between the rows. And above it all one solitary tree in the distance, rising calm and steady above the fragrant landscape like nature’s own crown.
Reine Violette. The Queen of Violet. 🌿
