Hyde joins the role after more than 10 years at Forbes Africa, where she served as Head of Digital Media and Partnerships and West Africa Correspondent. Her work has included building international partnerships and executive-producing major African productions.

…This chapter is called:
“DEAR GOD, I TRUST YOU! 🙏🏾”
I wasn’t born with a map in my hand.
No family names to open doors.
No rich Aunties or Uncles.
No trust fund waiting for me.
Just my dreams, God and the pressure of not failing because there was no Plan B!
No handouts. I showed up with empty pockets but a heart full of faith and discipline, carrying myself like I belonged, while imposter syndrome screamed in the back of my mind.
When I started sharing my media dream people would ask me: “Who do you know?”
They say, “It’s all about who you know.”
I would smile, because the only answer was:
NO ONE!
Just my drive, my heart and my integrity!
Just Jesus Christ! Just God!
They don’t talk about the nights you stayed awake, knowing you were good enough, but watching doors close because someone else had a name. A name you didn’t have.
A connection you didn’t own.
They don’t talk about the quiet frustration of working overtime - unpaid and still being unseen, of promotions passing you by because someone else petitioned for a door to open for them and close for you.
And still, I kept going.
I kept showing up because there was no one else to do it for me. God is all I have ever had.
If you’ve built something from nothing.
If you’ve been told “you’re not enough,” and still showed up every day with a broken heart and bruised hands.
I see YOU!💙
You’re not just another story!
You’re THE story!
What a beautiful story your PRAYERS, FAITH and DETERMINATION is building!
They will say:
“We always knew you’d make it.”
But you’ll know the truth.
You didn’t make it because of luck.
You made it because you had no choice but to rise. Because no one else (apart from God) was coming to protect you or save you and so you learn to become everything you need.
If you built yourself out of the mud,
If you learned to clap for yourself because no one else would.
If you’ve been betrayed, defamed, misrepresented, stolen from, attacked and broken but wiped your tears and got up and kept going. Remember God is not done with you yet. …It was an absolute honor to be recognised as a Power Broker by @RollingStoneAfrica for my work in Journalism and Media and the impact through @AimHigherAfrica. I don’t take any of these accolades, acknowledgements or awards lightly.
The best part about this journey is that along this phenomenal ride, we have had the privilege of witnessing African Superstars continue to blossom and shine on so many global stages! That honor is so deeply fulfilling and purposeful. Moments when I listen to the powerhouse duo @AnnieIdibia1 and @SwankyJerry break down how Young, Famous & African completely re-positioned the perception of Africa for non-Africans. Showing our luxury, culture, and reality to the world is so humbling and surreal. Despite their huge accomplishments, they continue to shine a light on the incredible team in front of the cameras and behind the scenes that have made YFA possible!🫶🏾

…Took me a second to share this because I struggled to take it in. If you would have told the 10 years ago younger Peace that walking away from the life I built, loved and all I knew in the UK to move to Accra, Ghana and build an entire new life and career would be recognised by the UK Government for my work globally within media. I never would have believed you. 🥺👉🏾👈🏾

How do you know if you’re letting your fears rule your life?
Your life gets smaller, more predictable, and well… boring. When you make decisions based on what you’re afraid could go wrong, you get caught in the cycle of never trying anything new.
The fear of failure, fear of being embarrased, fear of public speaking, fear of heights, fear of disappointing those we love, are all real fears.
Instead, think of what could go right. Imagine the lives you could change, the problems you could solve, the dreams you could make a reality. It takes COURAGE. Courage is being afraid and doing it anyway- it’s not the absence of fear.
The people you admire the most have all the same fears, they just do it anyway and that’s what makes magic. 🤌🏾✨

…If my life was a book my Mother would be not only the best part of my story but also my favourite chapter.
Her chapter that taught me patience through sacrifice, strength through struggle, and love without conditions - but a lot of discernment.
She wrote my foundation with sacrifice, sleepless nights, quiet prayers, tireless work and endless faith, encouragement and belief when the world doubted me.
Every page I turn, every goal I chase, and every win I dream of is inspired by her - because her chapter is the reason my story continues. -
