Meet our 2026 CCI Artist Fellow, Theresa Chromati!
Known for her vibrant colors, expressive figures, and exploration of the feminine experience, the Guyanese American artist creates works that examine identity, emotion, and the complexities of selfhood.
As part of her fellowship, Chromati is developing “I Met You in the Haze,” a new body of work exploring her Guyanese heritage and the literary legacy of her great-uncle, poet Martin Carter. Through painting, sculpture, and language, the project brings together personal reflection, cultural memory, and ancestral histories.
Experience Chromati’s work at PAMM.
The 2026 Artist Fellowship is presented by PAMM’s Green Family Foundation Caribbean Cultural Institute in collaboration with Bakehouse Art Complex.

@pamm welcomed Museum Circle members for an exclusive preview of one of the season’s most anticipated modern art exhibitions.
Held on October 28, the private evening offered guests an early look at “Picasso–Klee–Matisse: Masterpieces from the Museum Berggruen” before its public opening, accompanied by complimentary bites and sips at PAMM. The gathering celebrated an extraordinary collection of European modern art assembled by renowned collector Heinz Berggruen.
Featuring approximately 100 works by Pablo Picasso, Paul Klee, Henri Matisse, Alberto Giacometti, Paul Cézanne and other influential artists, the exhibition explores the evolution of modernism through painting, sculpture, drawing and watercolor. Organized thematically, the presentation brings together iconic masterpieces spanning portraiture, landscapes, still lifes and Cubism, offering a fresh perspective on one of Europe’s most significant modern art collections.

There’s something sacred about what mangroves do and The Sacred Mangrove captures exactly that. 🌿
Now on view, this immersive exhibition explores mangroves as living ecosystems, vessels of memory, and symbols of resilience. Sculptures built from woven materials and glass evoke the layered, breathing world beneath the surface.
Come see it for yourself.

@pamm celebrated women shaping the city’s cultural landscape at the International Women’s Committee’s annual luncheon. ✨
The event honored María C. Bechily for her longstanding dedication to the arts and philanthropy in Miami. An arts leader, collector, and advocate, Bechily has helped shape the city’s cultural community since relocating in 2014, serving on the boards of institutions including PAMM, ArtesMiami, @locustprojects, and the Women Photographers International Archive.
Hosted by International Women’s Committee Chair Darlene Boytell-Pérez, the luncheon recognized Bechily’s commitment to expanding cultural access, championing artists, and celebrating Latin American heritage through art. Her work and philanthropic efforts continue to make a meaningful impact on Miami’s vibrant arts scene.
