@hunterschafer knows how to disappear into a character. As Jules in ‘Euphoria,’ she played lifeline to @zendaya’s Rue; as teenager Gretchen in the movie ‘Cuckoo,’ she took on her first full-on body-horror role; and as assistant Hilda in ‘Mother Mary,’ she was caught between the drama of two complicated mega-divas. Now, as she prepares for her first TV role as a lead in @primevideo’s ‘Blade Runner 2099,’ she’s also had a great time playing a totally different role: herself. With her 28th birthday later this year and some major personal developments in her rearview, Schafer finds herself reflecting on her early 20s—even as she looks ahead to what she calls her “new life”: “[I’m] okay with riding this very strange, sometimes terrifying, and a lot of the time really delicious wave. Being down for the ride and not trying to push back against it, or self-sabotage.” For ELLE’s November 2026 cover story, Schafer opens up about ‘Blade Runner 2099,’ queerness, and a personal life update that, up until now, only her closest family and friends knew about. A new collection of tableware, gifts and decor from @ninagarcia 04 Nov 2026 @matthieu_blazy has stirred up quite the fashion frenzy. The French-Belgian designer came to @chanelofficial from Bottega Veneta in 2025, and unleashed a revamp of the house’s codes that took the fashion set by storm. His cruise 2026 show in Biarritz back in April, like his Métiers d’art event staged last December, was a breakout moment during a year of endless creative director musical chairs. In Blazy’s view, the storied house is meant to design for “many, many different women, at many different times of their days or their lives—where age is not the limit,” he tells ELLE. “It’s the most fundamental pillar of Chanel.” For ELLE’s November issue, @chantel_tattoli sits down with Blazy to talk about reinventing Chanel’s house codes, the cruise 2027 collection he showed in Biarritz (seen here on model @mona_tougaard), and his vision for years to come. Candle holders in rose and emerald. A multi-tiered serving platter carved from Indian Pink, Ocean Green and Red Forest marbles. And of course, a cream onyx catchall adorned with tiger’s eye to match. Drawing on scenes from her travels and the styles that cross her desk, editor @ninagarcia designed a hosting collection that makes any setting an occasion—and a chic one at that. 29 Oct 2026 Istanbul is a city that trades in contrasts—East and West, history and modernity—and its layers go deep. You can spend the morning in a mosque from the 1500s, the afternoon haggling over antique jewelry in the Grand Bazaar, and the evening on a rooftop watching the Bosphorus turn gold.  It’s a city that feels almost unknowable. I returned in August, and was lucky to see the city through the eyes of some people who know it best: @sinansokmen, founder of @istanbultourstudio, showed me around the city’s best-known spots and under-the-radar gems; and Sinan’s longtime friend, Ayşem Erginoğlu (@aysem111), guided me through some of my favorite shopping discoveries. For this month’s Insider Guide, I’ve also drawn on the favorites of Turkish designer @dilarafindikoglu, who suggested a few more must-visit addresses, too. Throw in a few visits to the city’s famed hammams and you’ve got a city that blends history, shopping, and the best that two continents have to offer—an irresistible mix. Occasionally exhausted. Forever grateful. @parisfashionweek 💫✨ 07 Oct 2026 The Art of Slow Travel. Right before Milan fashion week, we took the scenic route from Paris to Florence aboard the legendary @vsoetrain. An impossibly romantic 24 hours of long lunches, beautiful dinners, dressing up, late nights at the piano, two marriage proposals witnessed along the way, and the best kind of company. The journey continued at @belmondvillasanmichele in the hills of Fiesole. Beautiful gardens, spa time, glorious Italian food. With Florence minutes away and the most magnificent views, it all felt like one beautiful escape. From the romance of the train to the magic of Tuscany, my idea of the perfect weekend. Setting the mood…adventure begins. Royals, spies, lovers…if these carriages could talk! Dressing the part in @ladoublej. The perfect wardrobe for the perfect backdrop. ❤️ Restored to its art deco glory, down to every last detail. A room with an ever-changing views 🚞 Award for the best Negroni 🏆 A must. Because every great journey needs a live soundtrack. Dressing up. Arrived in Fiesole to this view. @belmondvillasanmichele Tuscany views. @belmondvillasanmichele From a 15th century monastery to Napoleon’s headquarters… now, @belmondvillasanmichele. Beautiful architecture. The frescos and the cloud. @leandroerlichofficial Just down the hill, Florence and a moment with Dante! Art studio! One of the most fascinating parts of this journey , a behind the scenes visit to the studio where some of the great masters are brought back to life. 🎨 👨‍🎨 Time slowed down. We did too. Grateful 🙏 29 Sep 2026 @sombr is well aware of the scrutiny that comes with the spotlight in today’s digital landscape. “It’s what I signed up for,” he says of the realities of fame. The singer has faced his fair share of online vitriol and praise, but despite it all, the stage is where he feels most at home. “I’m more myself and more Zen when I’m on the stage,” he tells ELLE. “I just feel out of place in the regular world and in public.” As he prepares to embark on a massive world tour, the musician sits down for a wide-ranging conversation about his ascent to stardom, how fame has influenced his body image, and teases the advice one “amazing” pop star imparted to him. And not one I didn’t love ❤️ @prada today. 22 Sep 2026 On the verge of a world tour and new music, @sombr is bigger than ever. Just a few years ago, he was a vocal major at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School. Today, his songs “Back to Friends” and “Undressed” from his debut album, ‘I Barely Know Her,’ have joined the Billions Club on Spotify; he can go viral on TikTok simply by making a piña colada; and he’s about to embark on a massive world tour. “I’m more myself and more Zen when I’m on the stage,” he tells ELLE. “I just feel out of place in the regular world and in public.” For ELLE’s October 2026 issue, the Grammy-nominated singer—born Shane Michael Boose—goes deep on his ascent to fame, navigating the scrutiny that comes with it, and why he’s “spending all of the money I’m making” on his upcoming world tour: “It’s going to be fucking incredible.” ELLE: @elleusa Editor-in-chief: Nina Garcia @ninagarcia Photographer: Steven Klein @stevenkleinstudio Stylist: Paul Sinclaire @paulsinclaire Writer: Samuel Maude @samuel.p.maude Hair: Ward at Bryant Artists @wardhair4real @bryantartists Makeup: Dick Page at MA+ Group @dickpageface @maworldgroup Manicure: Honey for P. Shine @honeynailz Produced by Travis Kiewel at ThatOneProduction @traviskiewel @thatoneproduction 22 Sep 2026 I’ve always dreamed of living in London because every time I visit, I find something that makes me fall in love with it all over again. There is always another corner to discover, another restaurant to try, another charming shop to lose an afternoon in. You could spend a lifetime here and never run out of new streets to wander.

Of course, the best way to experience a city as complex and endlessly evolving as London is to ask the people who know it intimately, the ones who live inside its rhythms, not just visit it. For this month’s Insider Guide, I turned to four people whose perspectives I admire: Lady Lola Crichton-Stuart, better known as the British It girl @lolabutee; stylist and shoe designer @tabithasimmons; jewelry designer @jessica_mccormack; and the inimitable artist and couture collector @daphneguinness.
