Life update: cried a little and planted some spiders 🕷️
I decided that planting outrageously gorgeous flowers might help cure the funk I’ve been in lately.
It’s no secret that I disappeared from this account and have been posting way less on Tucker’s…but after dealing with chronic illness for 8+ years, my mind and body finally decided it was time to fully process the grief of it all, and I mentally hit rock bottom.
Between processing all the years I lost due to chronic illness, and realizing that I dont want to chase the social media “dream life” and grind 24/7 making “viral” videos, I basically had a midlife crisis.
Who even am I if I’m not “Linda”?
Who even am I without chronic illness?
I’m still figuring that out.
And I think learning who you truly are doesn’t happen all at once. It happens with small yes’s and small no’s, and being brutally honest with yourself about what those are.
Planting these flowers felt like a yes to me.
Sharing this instead of something “viral” also a yes.
I miss this community so much. I know so many of you also suffer with chronic illness and I have always felt so much love and understanding from all of you. I cannot begin to thank you enough for that 🤎 I hope you are doing well my friend.

The world kept moving, and I decided not to. That’s when I started healing. ⠀
⠀
I’ve been chronically ill for 5 years now. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on treatments trying every sort of healing modality I could get my hands on. “Why is this happening to me?” I was convinced it was anything else but that fact that my body was screaming at me to listen. To stop ignoring who I truly was. ⠀
⠀
I’ve suffered from severe anxiety my entire life. As a child I would do anything it took be accepted and loved. I was lonely. I felt like a freak that no one wanted to be around. I had no friends. So I masked and morphed myself into someone that would be accepted all the way into my adulthood. I lost me. I lost who I truly was in the pursuit of connection and love. I really had no idea what I was doing at the time, but it felt safer than being myself, it was a protective mechanism. As I got older, the anxiety and constant masking slowly started to deteriorate my physical body. I started having physical symptoms that progressed each year until I finally broke. My nervous system completely shattered. ⠀
⠀
I have been beyond blessed to be able to call social media my job. I will never ever be able to thank this community enough for how it has changed my life. Some will think maybe it’s the monetary gain that changed my life the most…but it’s not. In so many ways, this job has been like a mirror to the wounds that I didn’t know existed. It showed me that I don’t view success the same as others do. It took reaching it to realize that. So I finally listened. I pulled back. I stepped out of the box that everyone strives to fit into and I started listening to my body. When I need rest, I rest. When I need space, I give space. I no longer push it to do more, be more, be good enough. Because I am already enough. And so are you. Let your pain be your guide, your mirror, to what needs to be wrapped in love, and you will heal too 🫶🏼

I’m so thankful I finally got to enjoy this fall 🍂⠀
⠀
As some of you may already know I have a long list of chronic illnesses that keep me very housebound. Usually October is the worst for those with chronic illness. They call it “The October Slide”. Basically all your symptoms get much worse due to the shift in temperature, barometric pressure, and sunlight changes. But this was the first fall since I got sick that I was able to go out and truly enjoy it. Usually I’m tied to my bed with what feels like 1000 pound weights of extreme fatigue, brain fog, weakness, etc. I definitely had my bad moments on this trip, but I’m so beyond grateful for the good moments and the fact that I was even able to go. Healing takes so much time, trial, and error. It happens sooo slowly it almost seems like it’s not happening at all. But moments like these remind me that it is coming, and I won’t let the fast pace of this world trick me into thinking it’s not.⠀
⠀
We stayed in Hocking Hills Ohio and I was able to do the shortest trail to Ash Cave which was INCREDIBLE. I was so so beyond happy to climb those stairs and feel strength in my body instead of weakness. I didn’t even notice the old folks passing me by when I stopped to catch my breath 😅⠀
⠀
We stayed in this stunning cabin in the middle of the forest with basically no cell service and it was like being in a fairytale ✨ Even the barred owls put on a full show🦉

In honor of World Mental Health Day I wanted to take a moment to thank the worlds greatest dogtors. With their incredible sixth sense, they know when we are hurting and need comfort. Sometimes they know it even before we do. For the majority of my life I’ve struggled with severe anxiety and depression. I was severely bullied for many years and it left a significant impact on my mental health. And although medicine and therapy have been helpful, the one thing that has always helped me without fail is the unconditional love of my boys. It’s as if their fur contains magical soothing powers and their eyes beam love straight into your heart when they look at you. No human can replicate what they can do. They are truly gifts and the angels of the world, and for that I am forever grateful 🧡⠀

Feeling so grateful 🤍⚓️
18 Sep 2023
It’s crazy to think that three years ago I was using a wheelchair and couldn’t bathe myself. I was so sick and it left me with debilitating anxiety and agoraphobia. I was terrified to even walk out in my own backyard. To most people that may not make sense. What’s so scary about being out of the house? I was often told “don’t be scared” as if I had some sort of off switch I could just press to turn off my anxiety. If only it was that easy.⠀
⠀
My healing journey is far from over. I have a long way to go. But I know in my gut that the worst of it is over. I try to remind myself of that when I leave the house, that my body isn’t going to war against me, and that I am safe in it.⠀
⠀
This is the first trip I’ve been on that I have felt at peace in my body. I was able to stand in the sand and feel relaxed instead of panicked that I was too far from the car…”what if I faint and can’t walk back?!” I am so grateful and thankful to my husband that holds my hand through countless panic attacks, who holds me tight when I feel like the world is caving in on me, and picks out my pajamas for me every night. These past two days have feel like a dream 💛⠀
⠀
We stayed at The Homestead in Glenn Arbor and it was absolutely stunning. We took the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive through Sleeping Bear Dunes and walked through the cute little town of Glenn Arbor that reminded me so much of the set of Gilmore Girls. The boys didn’t join us, which made it much easier to relax 😂 Although I missed them terribly and cried like a baby leaving them, it was worth it.

If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, this is where. Hiding away from the world in my garden all summer long 🌽 I’m so sorry it took so long to post any updates. Life happened and I just needed time to step away, reflect, and figure things out. To say this garden has healed my soul is an understatement. I truly needed it.
Last year I got my first taste of gardening and I knew I needed to expand. We used @epicgardening amazing raised garden beds and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! My friend Kevin from Epic Gardening gave us a discount code for you to use as well! Use code: MRSBUDZYN5 for a discount and get a head start on your garden for next summer 🍅🫑
Also I’m sure you’re all wondering if Steve the groundhog has made an appearance in my garden this year, and can you believe he hasn’t?! He’s been out in the field feasting but hasn’t touched anything in my garden YET 😂
