GAME OF THRONES Mars 2025. Après presque dix ans de règne, @demna annonce son départ de @balenciaga Dix ans à construire une identité, quelques mois pour tenter de lui succéder. La mode est sans pitié. Exit @pppiccioli . Entre vision artistique et impératifs commerciaux, l'équilibre est fragile. Il faut créer, surprendre, vendre. Plaire à tout un écosystème sans perdre son âme. Depuis mes débuts de photographe dans les Fashion Weeks parisiennes, je n'ai connu que lui à la tête de cette maison. Et Demna, lui, m'a traumatisé. Artistiquement. Lorsque, le 9 juillet 2025, il présente son ultime défilé pour Balenciaga, avenue George-V, il me fallait marquer cette fin de règne à ma manière. À la sortie, des chaises dorées. Celles des invités. Un dossier cassé attire mon regard. Impossible de l'emporter. Interdiction formelle. Trente secondes que l’on m’accorde avec de morceau de bois doré, pas une de plus. Alors je compose. Une couronne. Un L au sol, celui de BaLenciaga. Du bitume. Une écharde, c’est parfait, j’ai la vision. Un roi quitte son trône. Il en reste une couronne brisée. FINAL ACT est née de ces trente secondes. Une photographie pour figer dix ans d'histoire.
