The Comstock Couloir - 3rd known descent, 1st known female descent. The team - Emrik, Larry and Spencer. The day - a memorable walk on glaciers, an exposed ridge and a steep ski down (that got a little dark at the end). A big day in big terrain with a strong team. It was serious with a lot of not serious jokes and laughing for 14 hours. Thanks for the great weekend in the Dawson drainage! 22 Jan 2026 Rapid Fire stats: - 47 days (just over 6 weeks) - 93 chutes skied - 8 rest days - 8 bails - Over 200,000ft of vert climbed - 300 hours spent skiing (or accessing or egressing skiing) - 25 different ski partners - Best day of skiing - Kessler quad - linking E, W, God’s Lawnmower and Argenta in a day - Worst day of skiing - Kings Peak - it’s not even in the Wasatch?! - The most fun in bad conditions - dancing to Fetty Wap in Heart of Darkness - Worst experience - avoiding wet loose and dry loose avalanches on Lisa Falls - Biggest line score day - 17 chutes with Wolvy Cirque and Seagull in a day - First day - E Twin and Stairs - Last day - Monte Cristo Gully, Memorial #1 and #4 - The day I cried twice - Day 24 - Number of days using ropes - 12 - Earliest wakeup - 1am for The Grunge - Latest finish - 10pm for The Great White Icicle on snowblades - The only ski snack I didn’t get sick of - gels - The line that scared me the most but was actually fun - Ciochetti’s Ribbon - Ways I approached Hogum - 4 different ways on 4 different days And the biggest take away - it was the community, the 25 ski partners plus EVERYONE else that helped and supported me in skiing all 93 chutes that made it possible and so much fun! Thank you to everyone!! With the biggest thank you to @spencerharkins who joined me on 57 chutes, talked me through a handful of mental breakdowns and helped me strategize and analyze weather and snow conditions everyday. All while filming, shooting photos and working a full time job. 📸: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6: @spencerharkins 2: @zachsthompson 29 Apr 2025 I absolutely love my job. I work part time as a nurse at Huntsman Cancer Hospital. There are a lot of reasons I enjoy being an oncology nurse, one of them being the purpose and perspective it gives me. Often, when every chemo, radiation and immunotherapy has been tried, my patients make the decision to stop treatment and accept peace in death. It is always a sad transition, but also a relieving process. With the acceptance of a nearing end, the patients and families relive their favorite memories; an intimate ceremony that shines with life and personality. And as I pass through the room, helping my patient with whatever pain, nausea or discomfort they are going through, I get to hear the best stories of their life. My patients are often people I never would have connected with or gotten to know outside the hospital. But in the darkest and scariest time of their life, I get to know them and I get to be there to help them. Their grace and courage in their final phase of life puts everything in perspective. A perspective much bigger than the ski and run bubble I spend most of my time within. And for that I cherish the days in my scrubs and mask. 30 Nov 2022 The next episode of Rapid Fire is live! Watch it on The Mali Channel 05 Nov 2026 This past January, @malinoyes became the first female to ski the Comstock Couloir, a line in Canada’s Selkirk Mountains that has turned back more than its share of skiers, including her on a previous attempt. Her COROS APEX 4 tracked every step of the push: 28 hours and 15 minutes, 18,400 feet of climbing, a knife-edge ridge, rappels, and a steep, firm couloir finished in the dark. Some lines take more than one try. Way to never give up, Mali. ⛷️ Read the full story at the link in our bio. 28 Oct 2026 “For all their talk of being humbled, they skied some incredible lines and put their stamp on a legendary range—maybe they’ve just scratched the surface, but the wound was mighty nonetheless. With each new line, new day on snow, they’re building a craft that has become one of the most impressive rises in ski mountaineering of this generation.” The Perpetual Student follows Mali Noyes and Spencer Harkins from the Wasatch to the Alaska Range, where the pursuit of progression doesn’t always go according to plan. 📷: @spencerharkins

Watch on YouTube and hope you enjoy it! 22 Oct 2026 Spot the difference 16 Oct 2026 My activity graph looks a little different these days. A month ago it was full of huge days in the mountains. Now I’m psyched about a 30-minute spin on the bike. But I think that’s been a big part of slowing down, changing what I count as a good day. My job is now recovery and PT. 📸: @spencerharkins 30 Sep 2026 Hip surgery update: recovery is on track! 13 Sep 2026 I’m just proud of the crutch walk. 06 Sep 2026 Hip surgery recovery is going great! On August 20th I had surgery to correct my FAI and repair my torn labrum. In basic terms, the shape of my hip joint was causing the bones to impinge, or rub, instead of moving smoothly, which damaged my labrum and caused a cascade of other pain and problems. The good news is that once my surgeon got into the joint, he found exactly what he expected. Imaging doesn’t always show the full picture, but in my case it was pretty straightforward: my hip was tight, there was clear impingement, and my labrum was torn. While he obviously can’t be 100% certain, he feels pretty confident this has been the source of my pain. And that makes me SO excited. I’ve been dealing with this pain for eight years, and honestly, the hardest part has been the uncertainty of not knowing what was actually wrong. I’d get hopeful about every new PT, diagnosis, injection or test, only to be let down when nothing fixed it. Over time, I normalized the constant pain and started wondering if I’d ever run again (or even sleep on my left side again.) There’s still a long recovery ahead and some uncertainty with that, but compared to the last eight years, this finally feels like moving forward! 27 Aug 2026
