Happy Election Day, family! I hope all is well.
Recovered from my birthday tour right in time for my final run of Wednesdays hosting @theflatbushsocial, starting tomorrow. Hopefully, we’ll get to see some of you before we wrap up.
We get a 69 degree day in November, which is great weather for hanging in the Garden, Happy Hour 5-8pm so you can walk right into a cocktail once you wrap up your work day, and great music by the dynamic duo, @djnotoriousinc and @djspicenyc.

Last Friday, I started the march to 45 with an insane night at @somelastminutedopeshit. The tour continues this week with a few stops and a finale next Friday to wrap up a fortnight of fun.
Tuesday, 10/20, I’m hosting the NBA Champion New York Knicks season opener against the 76ers at @333.lounge with my brother @dboeventz. Seating is first come, first serve. Doors open 5pm, tipoff is at 7pm. Happy Hour 5-8pm.
Wednesday, 10/21, we are at @theflatbushsocial with music by @djnotoriousinc and @djspicenyc. Happy Hour 5-8pm.
Friday, 10/23, is the big day and I’ll be celebrating with my birthday twin @king0s0__ in our hood at @auntsetuncles.
AU After Dark w/ music by @nikkianticss starts at 9pm.
Sunday, 10/25, is Everybody Move, a collab event with @auntsetuncles, @turnipvegan + @oruzu.world designed to get our bodies in motion. Linkup at 8am at Aunts et Uncles before we head to Prospect Park, then back to AU for an afterparty with the incomparable @dj9am.
Finally, next Friday 10/30, I host @tingznyc Tingz Gold dancehall party for my brother @khalil.nyc at Ivory on Park. Ticket link is in my bio.

Peace family, hope y’all are well.
I absolutely did not expect my mini rant about the things that frustrate me in NYC’s scene to reach so many DJs in other places.
First, thank you all for your commentary. It got me thinking about a lot of things. It seems like a lot of DJs feel stifled creatively because of how parties are structured. Or, if you’re new to the game, how do you get to spin somewhere that allows you to find your sound.
It gave me some homework, but first I wanted to ask y’all as DJs, what are the elements of your favorite set this year?
Share with your homies, I think we are getting somewhere with this conversation.

What’s good family? Hope y’all are well.
Posted these comments in my story earlier this week after seeing @sheisdjak’s reel about DJing since the pandemic (which I agree with) and got lots of replies.
Being fair, I think some our feelings about the game currently have to do with age and how long you’ve been partying and also the circuit you frequent and all of us have something to say…but to me, things seem a bit stale.
DJs, Patrons, Producers - what are your thoughts?
One rule because I’m about finding solutions instead of assigning blame: No attacks directed at specific individuals or event series, you can address those directly with them folks.

Community.
In 2026 it’s a buzzword. Overused, out of context, sold for commerce.
For us it’s all we know.
Serving the community you work in is one thing. Serving the one that’s been home for four decades is something else. The top layers change but the roots stay. The elders who watched you grow up. The friends from elementary and junior high. Still in touch, still intact, still together.
Flatbush raised us. Nostrand Ave is where we chose to build. There’s no version of Aunts et Uncles that exists anywhere else.
Aunts et Uncles Day is how we celebrate what we built from the ground up and what we tend to every day.
To everyone who pulled up, stayed late, brought the kids, brought the elders. Thank you. You are the day.
Our neighborhood. Our family. Our friends. Our community.
