The Steak Sandwich has officially earned its spot on the permanent roster.
We first introduced these flavors at Roots Picnic and had the @rocnation crew in a frenzy. Had to bring that same energy home to Flatbush.
And that means firing up the grill. Flame-kissed steak, all plant-based, the way it should be!

Figuring out lunch with a Libra and a Gemini can be a mission lol. We wanted pasta and ackee, so we decided to do both with what we already had.
Welcome to THE PANTRY, Ep. 1.
We’re having fun finding new ways to cook with our pantry staples. These are the base flavors you taste at the café. Instead of extending the menu, we’re making things off the menu—from the back of the Rivian.
This time: ackee fettuccine with our Vegetable Rub and Peppa Sauce.
We usually cook our ackee down with tomatoes and peppers, but this time the Peppa Sauce brought it to life. Just enough to bring the flavor without the heat taking over.
Our Pantry Kit has Peppa Sauce, Hot Maple, Barbecue Rub, Everything Rub and Vegetable Rub. Five essentials, $65. What you make with them is up to you.

It’s time we build (and reimagine) experiences we never had before.
So yes, we can have s’mores under the stars of Little Caribbean, a good glass of wine, and a little community time around the fire.
Every Wednesday, starting 11/4, we’ll gather.
And because every good gathering deserves a little something sweet, we’ve got a special:
A s’mores and ice cream pairing featuring a Cream of Earl Grey scoop, including Brooklyn Tea’s blend, brought to life with our friends at Mr. P’s Ice Cream.

On this Patio Talk, we’re talking through changes to the Aunts et Uncles menu. What stays, what needs a little work, and what might have had its run.
Building a Caribbean plant-based restaurant in Flatbush means bringing our own ideas to the table. But we know some of these dishes have become YOUR staples. Your usual order. The thing you tell somebody they have to try when they come to Brooklyn.

Everybody Must Move!
We aren’t getting any younger, and time treats us all differently. We have to make time for ourselves. Move our bodies. Nourish them. Connect with good people.
That’s Everybody Move. An idea born from @nicnich and her love for exercise and gathering people.
Sunday, that idea brought us to Prospect Park for a run/walk powered by @altrarunning . Different paces. Moving together.
Then we gathered around the food. Fried oyster mushrooms with @turnipvegan’s Mangoville sauce over our plantain waffles, sweet potato porridge, our classic breakfast sando, and our new protein-packed Livity Bowl. A post-workout spread by Aunts et Uncles to keep the gathering going.
Special thanks to @oruzu.world and @whatsupwally for bridging Cali and NYC, bringing @turnipvegan to town to connect with his East Coast community.
People came from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, deep in Long Island, North Carolina and Georgia to move with us. That speaks volumes. Thank you for making the trip and making time for yourselves.
So proud to see our people like this.

We did this in Oceanside and 100 beautiful people pulled up and sold it out. Brooklyn, now it is your turn.

We start and finish at Aunts et Uncles, and after the movement we come back for a full plant-based brunch featuring my crispy fried mushrooms with mango sauce on plantain waffles, with a live DJ playing 90s R&B.
Sunday, October 25. Pre-registration opens at 7 AM, we start moving at 8 AM. Aunts et Uncles, 1407 Nostrand Ave, Flatbush, Brooklyn. We finish back there around 11 for brunch. $60 covers the run and the brunch.
