After every talk, someone asks me how to get the rest of their organisation performing at the same level. My answer has two parts. Speaking enquiries: link in my bio. 08 Oct 2026 Leaders trying to change a culture usually reach for fear, force or facts. I’ve seen three Rs work better. Speaking enquiries: link in my bio. 07 Oct 2026 Bob is a chef who owns his own business. He walked into a room of chief executives and founders unsure whether he belonged there. This is what he said on the way out. Also please check his catering business out @eggintons.co Speaking enquiries: link in my bio. 06 Oct 2026 Most teams are good. Very few are great, and the gap usually sits in things you can’t see from the outside. On 2 February I’m spending a full day in London on what high performing cultures do differently, and how to build those habits into your own team. Tuesday 2 February 2027 The Hoxton, Holborn, London 9am–4pm, lunch included Book via the link in my bio. #teamculture #leadership #highperformance #londonevents #management 05 Nov 2026 Most of what happens in your team today will happen without anyone deciding it should. Who speaks first in the meeting. Where people sit. Whether bad news travels up or gets buried. How a new starter is greeted on day one. Psychologist Wendy Wood's research found that around 43% of our daily behaviour is repeated in the same setting while we are thinking about something else. Inside a team, every one of those habits gets reinforced by the people around you. Culture is the name we give to that autopilot. The best teams I have studied pay close attention to the things everyone else has stopped noticing. They treat the room, the routine and the first ten minutes of a meeting as design decisions. Leaving it to chance has a cost. Gallup's 2026 report found only 20% of employees worldwide were engaged at work in 2025. On Tuesday 2 February 2027 I am running a London Coaching Day at The Hoxton, Holborn. We will spend the day on the automatic stuff inside your organisation, and how to redesign it on purpose. Places are deliberately limited. 9am to 4pm, lunch included. Link in bio to book. Do sweat the small stuff. #HighPerformance #Leadership #TeamCulture #Habits #LondonEvents 05 Nov 2026 When England won the Rugby World Cup in 2003, Lewis Moody's dad didn't come down to the dressing room. Two years later, Lewis was sent off at Twickenham, the first England player ever to be dismissed there. His dad was the first one down. I grew up in my father's boxing gym in Collyhurst Manchester, so I recognised that instinct straight away. Turning up for the celebration is easy. Standing beside your son when he's ashamed tells him what you value. Stanford research by Kyla Haimovitz and Carol Dweck found that children can't tell what their parents think about intelligence. They pick up how their parents treat failure, and it shapes whether they believe they can grow. Leaders send that signal every week. Your people watch where you stand after a defeat. That loyalty runs through Lewis. It's how he is raising his sons, and how he is now facing MND. One of the most moving conversations I've ever had. His book Fronting Up is out on Thursday. Listen first on @highperformance . Then buy the @lewismoody7 book. Link in bio. #HighPerformance #LewisMoody #FrontingUp #Leadership #MND 03 Nov 2026 Most teams are good. He won the World Cup with England in 2003. In 2005 he became the first England player sent off at Twickenham. His dad skipped the dressing room after the final and was the first one through the door after the red card. Now Lewis Moody is coming off the bench in a game he never wanted to play, against MND. This is one of the most moving conversations I have ever had. Two moments, one with his sons and one with his wife, still make me cry when I retell them. His book Fronting Up is out this week. Listen to the episode, then buy the book. 01 Nov 2026 Most teams are good. Very few are great, and the gap usually sits in things you can’t see from the outside. I've spent years sitting opposite coaches and captains whose teams pass that test. Whilst their worlds look nothing alike. The same patterns keep turning up. A small group of cultural architects set the tone long before anyone puts a values statement on a wall. The standards get protected in the tiny moments, when letting them slide would be easier and nobody would notice. None of it is luck. It can be learned. On Tuesday 2 February I'm bringing it to London for a full coaching day. We'll unpick the DNA of a high performance culture and work out what it looks like in your team, so you leave with changes to start the next morning. The Hoxton, Holborn. 9am to 4pm, lunch included. Places are open now. Link in bio to book. #HighPerformance #Leadership #TeamCulture #Coaching #LondonEvents 28 Oct 2026 What would it cost to make you give up your dream? For Jimmy Carr, a good job at Shell nearly did it. He told us on High Performance that ‘good is the enemy of the best’, so he left. Decades later he is still chasing his best. He wore a drummer's metronome on his ankle to retrain the rhythm of his delivery, slowing from 98 beats per minute to 92. At one Portsmouth gig, his team counted 43 applause breaks. He hits a room like ‘Mike Tyson jumping into the ring and overwhelming you.’ Then he lets his guard down, and people follow. The most impressive lesson I took from this fascinating chat is that whatever your game, "If you ever get to a place where you think you know everything, you're already a has-been." His new book is On Jokes. The full episode on our now on High Performance Podcast. 26 Oct 2026 ‘I was always at the wrong end of the M4 motorway.’ Richard Hammond told us that when he was with his family, he was thinking about work in London. When he was in London, he was thinking about his family. Harvard researchers found our minds wander from what we’re doing 46.9% of the time, and that the wandering tends to come before the unhappiness. Sophie Leroy calls it attention residue: part of you stays behind with whatever you’ve just left. Her fix is small. Before you switch, jot down where you’ve got to and the first thing you’ll do when you come back. Then you’re free to arrive. Be where your feet are. Which end of your M4 are you at right now? #HighPerformance #Leadership #Microhabits #RichardHammond 24 Oct 2026
