Special guest presenter announcement🦎📣 Please welcome actor Matthew Lawrence @matthewlawrence as a featured guest awards presenter at the joint Jackson Wild Media Awards and Hollywood Climate Summit awards gala on November 10 in Los Angeles! Matt began his Hollywood career at a young age and is best known for his memorable performances as Chris Hillard in Mrs. Doubtfire and Jack Hunter in Boy Meets World. He starred alongside his brothers Joey and Andy Lawrence in the sitcom Brotherly Love, and today the Lawrence brothers host The Brotherly Love Podcast, sharing personal stories and memories with friends from the industry. Off screen, Matt is deeply passionate about wildlife, with a particular love for herpetology. Fascinated and inspired by the natural world for as long as he can remember, he’s dedicated to advocating for the protection and preservation of reptiles and amphibians worldwide. He serves as US Ambassador for SEED Madagascar and works closely with the International Iguana Foundation. We can’t wait to celebrate this year’s best in climate and nature storytelling with Matt on stage. This panel brings together creators who are pushing past it with comedy sketches, video games, scripted drama and social content. They’ll talk about what they gained by working outside the usual conventions, and why an unexpected nature story might reach someone the expected one never could. 📅 Mon, Nov 9 | 2:15PM

And we did. Over a year in the making, this documentary has helped achieve something extraordinary! And that’s the power of telling a different story. One that connects rather than lectures. That brings people along rather than points fingers. Because storytelling shouldn’t just change raise awareness. It should change what happens next. I couldn’t be prouder of this film and to everyone involved @jumarafilms @seba23_sn 💚 Let’s see what else we can do 👀 04 Nov 2026 The 2026 Finalist Trailer is here! 🎬🌍 This year, two communities come together to celebrate the stories shaping how we see our planet. The Jackson Wild Media Awards, longtime champions of nature, science, and conservation storytelling, join forces with the Hollywood Climate Summit Awards to honor climate and nature storytelling across unscripted and scripted formats. Meet this year’s finalists, the films, series, and campaigns helping audiences see, understand, and protect our natural world. Explore all finalists at the link in bio. Winners from both awards will be revealed November 10 at the joint Awards Gala closing out the Nature Media Exchange in Los Angeles. Stay tuned! Edited by Angel Morris @angelmorris.edit #JacksonWild #HollywoodClimateSummit #NatureMediaExchange #ClimateStorytelling #Documentary 03 Nov 2026 From the concrete jungle of Brooklyn to the wild spaces of the Everglades, wildlife photographer and National Geographic Explorer George McKenzie Jr. has transformed his camera into a tool for change. Through immersive photography workshops, George is opening doors for BIPOC youth from underserved communities to experience nature, learn the craft of wildlife photography, and see themselves as part of the conservation story. Participants explore wild spaces, develop hands-on skills, receive mentorship, and showcase their work at public events. These workshops are about more than photography. They’re about access, representation, mentorship, and professional opportunities in wildlife media because nature photography and conservation storytelling belong to everyone. The film THE BOOK OF GEORGE was a finalist at the Jackson Wild and Earth Alliance Impact Pitch 2025. The film, directed by Danny Schmidt (@danny_schmidt), follows George as he takes on the next chapter of his story, creating opportunities for the next generation of storytellers. Learn how you can watch the film and support the next generation of nature storytellers at the link in our bio. #Photography #Wildlife #Documentary 02 Nov 2026
