We went to the Pumpkin Festival at Goddenwick Farm in West Sussex and it's worth the drive from London: pumpkin picking & an indoor play barn at the same farm. It's on until 31 Oct (daily this half term, £5, under-2s free). The Play Barn is a separate ticket (£7, or £4 for under-3s) with slides, a ball pit and ride-on diggers. Book online before you go, it's online-only for the pumpkin festival. Dogs are welcome on leads too. Bring wellies as it can get muddy, and it's best not to bring prams into the fields. Food is sorted too. The Roost cafe is open daily (local roasted coffee, sweet treats, light bites and a kids menu from £3.50), the Play Barn has its own kiosk for coffee and ice cream, and on weekends there's a street food hatch (hot dogs, loaded fries) plus a beer hall with tap beers and live music, included in the £5 ticket. Next up at the farm is Santa's Grotto, weekends only from 21 Nov to 13 Dec, run by West Sussex Mind with all ticket sales going to the charity. £12.50 per child, £7.50 for each additional child, and every child gets a gift. Slots are only 5 minutes each so it's a quick one, pair it with the Play Barn and you've got your day. Some December slots are already selling out. Both are in your free Little Sprout account (link in bio), so you can save them to your Day Plan with the prices and booking links. 28 Oct 2026

We love Goddenwick Farm all year round, and visiting at Halloween is no exception! 🎃 Such a lovely time to visit with so much seasonal fun to enjoy. 🎃 Pumpkin field 👻 Halloween trail 🕸️ Spooky maze 🍂 Autumnal food and drink 🎶 Music And, of course, all the usual favourites, from the animals and our favourite play barn to the Roost Café, which is always one of our favourite spots to stop for a bite to eat. The Ghouls of Goddenwick 👻 Now I know it’s spooky season but if you haven’t been down to @goddenwickfarm yet your missing out! With a field full of scarecrows and spooky trails, it’s the perfect place act a little ghostly! Follow the trail to the pumpkin patch where you can pick your own pumpkins and take pictures in the floating frames before you take a break at the coffee shop and enjoy an iced latte or cuddle up with a Matcha.
