Join us for some amazing events all month long. Here is a breakdown of just some of what we have planned! To view the full event calendar for November or to purchase tickets, visit our website CMNH.org! 02 Nov 2026 We're so proud of the Museum's Dr. Caitlin Colleary and the work she continues to do in the field of paleontology! 🎉 As a vertebrate paleontologist and Museum curator, Caitlin studies the molecules and proteins preserved in fossilized bones, using innovative techniques and technology to uncover new information about ancient animals and our planet's past. We're excited to see Caitlin's expertise and passion for advancing scientific research recognized as she joins the subject editor team at Natural History Collections and Museomics. Congratulations, Caitlin! Read more about this accomplishment by visiting https://nhcm.pensoft.net/news/1520. 07 Nov 2026 ✨ Meet Monica! 🌕🔭 Welcome to Meet the Circle, a series celebrating the people who make University Circle more than a destination. They make it a community! Meet Monica, an astronomer at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History and a Cleveland resident who grew up exploring the museums and institutions that make the Circle so special. From studying the stars to sharing the wonders of the universe with visitors, Monica brings a unique perspective to our community. 🌌 Want to see what Monica and her fellow astronomers are up to? Visit @gocmnh to explore planetarium showtimes and plan your visit! Every person has a story. Every story adds something special to the Circle. Stay tuned as we continue getting to know the people who make this community shine. ✨ #MeetTheCircle #UniversityCircle #Cleveland 06 Nov 2026 👀 Something WILD is coming to Cleveland! Tickets must be purchased onsite or over the phone, and valid proof of military status is required at purchase or check-in. Please visit CMNH.org for more information! 01 Nov 2026 Happy Halloween from the Cleveland Museum of Natural History! 🎃🦇 Have you spotted our giant Halloween pennant? This dragonfly gets its festive name from its orange-and-brown wings and its habit of perching on the tips of plants, swaying in the breeze like a pennant before swooping down to catch its prey. Found in eastern North America, adult Halloween pennants are often seen near bodies of water from summer through early fall. Who knew nature had its own Halloween spirit? 👻 #ClevelandMuseumOfNaturalHistory #HappyHalloween 31 Oct 2026 We’re incredibly grateful to @pncbank for supporting our Smead Discovery Center and helping us build meaningful science experiences for young learners and their families! 🎉 PNC’s support makes our entire lineup of early childhood programs possible, encouraging families to explore science together through hands-on experiences aligned with Ohio’s Early Learning Standards. From Museum Educator-led activities that introduce STEM careers and dramatic play to encounters with live wildlife ambassadors, there are so many ways for children to learn through exploration. Families can also engage with inquiry-based Discovery Boxes and daily “Show and Tell” sessions featuring real Museum specimens, live animals, and stories that bring science concepts to life. To keep experiences fresh for returning visitors, we introduce new monthly themes inspired by the seasons, natural history, and the Museum’s mission and galleries. Topics range from prehistoric life and astronomy to human health, geology, and ecology. Each month brings new storybooks, activities, and Discovery Boxes that encourage young learners to ask questions, make connections, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. Thank you, @pncbank , for helping us spark curiosity, support early learning, and create opportunities for the next generation of scientists and explorers! 29 Oct 2026 Be a part of the Mentor Marsh Planning Process! 🌿 Join the project team for the second public meeting of the Mentor Marsh Master Planning Project on Wednesday, October 28, from 6–8PM at Springbrook Gardenhouse. The team will share how past community engagement has helped shape the project so far and give the public a look at what’s taking shape as we work toward a master plan focused on ecology, restoration, preservation, educational discovery and cultural storytelling. Come learn more about the project and see where we’re headed. Find meeting details and information regarding the Mentor Marsh Master Plan on our website, linked in our bio. 25 Oct 2026 Looking for a meaningful way to give back as a team? The Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s Group Volunteer Program invites companies, organizations and community groups to get involved in supporting science, education and the natural world. From helping with visitor activities to planting trees, restoring natural areas and supporting our Wildlife Department, there are a variety of ways to make a difference together. Interested in volunteering with us? We’d love to hear from your group! Learn more about group volunteer opportunities and how to get started on our website (link in bio)! 23 Oct 2026 A little hoot of Halloween fun!🦉🎃 Join us for Museum Family Day: Owls & Howls this Sunday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.!
