For this ORO VALLEY CONCERT SERIES night of live music, enjoy an evening of Oktoberfest music performed by the Bouncing Czechs from 6-7:30 PM on Thursday at the Oro Valley Marketplace. The Bouncing Czechs Band was formed nearly 20 years ago by members of the Tucson Czech-Slovak Club. The initial members were George Masa, Frank Prokop, John Prokop, Bill Kohut and Joe Malik. The band initially played for club functions, but as they became more popular, played for other events in the city of Tucson. The Oro Valley Concert Series is more than just live music—it’s a year-round celebration of culture, community, and creativity. From October through August, residents and visitors can enjoy free monthly concerts at rotating locations throughout Oro Valley, transforming plazas, parks, and gathering spaces into vibrant stages. The series highlights the incredible range of Arizona’s music scene, featuring everything from country, rock, and jazz to Latin, classical, blues, folk, and contemporary pop. With such diverse programming, there’s truly a performance for every musical taste. At Art State Arizona, we believe the arts should be woven into everyday life, and this series is a living example of that vision. By providing paid opportunities for local musicians to share their craft, the series uplifts the creative sector while enriching the cultural fabric of Oro Valley. The concerts also strengthen the local economy—bringing audiences into shops, restaurants, and gathering spaces while building community identity through shared experiences.
