When @magikluciano and @djcharleswebster exchanged musical works for reinterpretation, each was invited into the world of the other. We are delighted to present Charles’ remix of Luciano’s ‘The Golden Thread’, a rework that merges minimalistic beats, soft tribal rhythms and melodic soundscapes. Patience is rewarded throughout a gently measured musical flow, as warm kicks are sprinkled with delicate percussion. Long synth notes stretch into shimmering symphonies, bursting with emotion as delicate keys dance beneath the blissful ambience, ever growing as the song is sung. 💿 Imogen w/ Mathew Jonson, Charles Webster, Ilija Rudman, Ivan Ljutić -> petak, 23. listopada 💿 Nova glazba koja će iz studija izravno prijeći na plesni podij. Upravo tako se ovih dana vraća Imogen Recordings. Nakon kratke stanke, etiketa ponovno pokreće izdanja, ali i svoje label partyje u Petom Kupeu. Prvi znak novog poglavlja bit će EP s remiksevima pjesme ‘Danceteria’ Ilije Rudmana. Izvorna verzija već je pronašla put do klubova nakon objave za londonski Make A Dance Records, a sada je u ruke uzima Charles Webster, dugogodišnji Rudmanov prijatelj i suradnik, koji je producirao četiri različita remiksa. Webster je od tinejdžerskih dana u Sheffieldu prošao put od studijskog inženjera u Nottinghamu do jednog od arhitekata britanskog deep house zvuka. Postupno je izgradio vlastiti spoj housea, soula, duba i atmosferične elektronike, a njegove etikete Love From San Francisco i Remote tijekom devedesetih su povezivale britansku klupsku scenu s kalifornijskim undergroundom. Upravo Webster i Rudman nastupit će na novom Imogenovom partyju 23. listopada, na koji stiže još jedno kultno ime - Mathew Jonson, producent čiji se nastupi ne slušaju kao reprodukcija poznatih skladbi, nego kao njihovo ponovno sastavljanje pred publikom. Jonson već gotovo četvrt stoljeća razvija lako prepoznatljiv zvuk, oslonjen na analogne instrumente, improvizaciju i izvedbu u stvarnom vremenu. Izdanjima za Perlon, Kompakt, M_nus i Cocoon, kao i klasicima ‘Marionette’ i ‘Decompression’, ostavio je dubok trag u elektroničkoj glazbi. Partyju za sladokusce pridružuje se i Ivan Ljutić, rovinjski DJ, producent i vlasnik izdavačkih kuća Forbidden Dance i Third World Records. Imogen ovim događajem ponovno uspostavlja cijeli krug: glazba, izdanje, izvođač, klub i publika. Sudjeluj u tom krugu!
