Happy 5 years to Madison by Sloppy Jane! Here are a few words from Haley Dahl! “Madison” came out five years ago, but was recorded seven years ago, meaning every single cell in my body has turned over in the meantime. I feel both like a completely different person than whoever made it, and like i have spent this whole time on my hands and knees, crawling back to myself, and have finally arrived. My memories from this process are visceral. The smell of cold, damp air. The sound of distant chattering. Delusional exhaustion. The feeling of stitches tugging against my skin. Dreams coming true compounded with nightmares of equal weight being born. I have a lot to say about this period of time, maybe I’ll say it soon. Thank you to anyone who has loved her.
