2024 Paris Olympic Marathon-2:08:12, 8th place. What an experience. Competing at the Olympic Games for Team USA was something I had dreamed of since I was young. I believed I had a shot at a medal. I was excited to compete against the best in the world. The experience of racing was incredible. While there are things I wish I did differently, I’m pleased with my performance and excited for the 2028 Olympics. This past weekend I competed at the World Half Marathon Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark. I thought my training had gotten to a point where I was ready to compete up front. I was with the front pack through about 10.5 kilometers, but fell off after a surge and abruptly slowed. I held on to finish twelfth with a time of 1 hour and 8 seconds. Initially, I was bummed with my performance and to be blunt, I had overestimated my fitness. As the days have gone by though, I’ve found more reasons to be grateful. From November of last year until May this year I was dealing with injuries. Now, I’m grateful to be back on a starting line, finishing a race healthy, and ending the race with a bronze medal with @teamusa . I’ve been training with the new @corosglobal PACE 4 Pro throughout this buildup, and it’s been a big help in tracking my progress as I worked my way back from injury. I’m looking forward to keeping a close eye on my fitness with COROS as I build toward the New York City Marathon. Onward to NYC🗽🍎 23 Sep 2026

Fighting until the end 👊 The top American of all-time was the top American on the day in Copenhagen, as national record holder Conner Mantz led the U.S. men to a team bronze in the World Road Running Championships half marathon. Mantz finished 12th in 60:08, while Ahmed Muhumed (13th, 60:15) and Wesley Kiptoo (23rd, 61:11) rounded out Team USA’s scorers. This was just the second race of Mantz’s season, following a fourth-place finish at the Falmouth Road Race last month. He’ll return to the New York Marathon in November, where he finished sixth in 2024. 📸 @stonemalick 20 Sep 2026
