Excited to be part of this unusual show of tiny artworks made for the hand.
Opening this Thursday @parent.company.gallery NYC
The show is on til January 9th
Curated by @annelauresees
𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒆𝒕, an exhibition designed around the premise that a small object can be infused with large meaning and that it can condense the intent, ideas, or impulses of a broader practice into a tiny gesture. There are over 90 works in 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒆𝒕, made (mostly) under 2 x 2 x 2 inches, by (mostly) living artists, (mostly) in the habit of making at a far larger scale. The selection is heterogeneous, a deeply personal constellation combining artists at very different career stages, working in a wide range of mediums and from wildly different geographies. Their ages range from 7 to 76. For some, it’s a first showing, while others have had multiple institutional surveys.
The show is about the transient potential—or lack thereof—of objects and beings, and the value of a memory or thought, crystallized in a shareable gesture, that can be held.

@clementinekeithroach’s largest relief works to date, “Flesh of the World I,” “II,” and “III” are currently on view through tomorrow, October 23, as part of our presentation at @artbasel Paris, Booth B52.
Skillfully bridging the line between painting and sculpture, this series jointly embodies animacy and mortality. To create each piece, the artist begins with a process of accumulation, taking plaster casts of her own limbs along with those of friends visiting her studio. Keith-Roach then reassembles the impressions before recasting them into a single form, enacting the final fusion by intricately trompe-l’oeil painting the casts to mimic an antique terracotta surface. Arms and legs bend and extend – reaching, grasping, holding, and dissolving into one another as if emerging from a primordial pool.
Echoing the rippling patterns of geological strata, the surfaces underscore the importance of painting to Keith-Roach’s practice while deftly ebbing between hyperrealism and biomorphic abstraction. The resulting sculptures transform into temporal knots, collapsing past and present while suspending personal and collective memory in a state of continual formation.
Visit us at #ArtBaselParis, Booth B52 through tomorrow, October 23.

‘Flesh of the World I, II & III’
These painted sculptures are formed from the bodies of friends and family who visited my studio over the past year and let me cast them. I fragment and reconfigure these impressions into new assemblages - new bodies. Each work is a sediment of many people’s touch, labour, conversation and the painting draws out these accreted memories, its surface evoking the sediment of deep time.
Thank you to @christopheropage @catattaway @katy.dcruz @m0ss.ssy @phillidacheetham @jess__gough for your bodies, conversation & labour

Spent the week learning to carve marble in the foothills of the Tuscan mountains under the guidance of @marble.projects and @kevinfrancisgraystudio. Everyday a cloud of dust, digging deep into veiled forms. Hands revealing hands. It was profound and loved every minute!
Such generosity from all the team in sharing skills, knowledge and huge communal lunches.
Very inspiring to spend a week surrounded by the sculptures of @kevinfrancisgraystudio in their various states of emergence, gazing back at the mountains they came from.
And to be communing with the stone alongside such a brilliant group of fellow artists in residence. @isamayaffrench @astridspechtseeberg @neal_camilleri @sarahillenberger
Thank you @marble.projects

𝓕𝓛𝓞𝓞𝓓: ‘Guardian of Nothing’ (2025) by Clementine Keith-Roach.
Keith-Roach’s sculptural practice merges terracotta vessels with casts of the body, creating forms that feel at once archaeological and contemporary. Her work explores histories of touch, care, domestic labour and reproduction, and the ways these experiences are carried across generations.
In ‘Guardian of Nothing’, the female figure and vessel become inseparable. Within FLOOD, the vessel takes on particular significance as something that can preserve and carry bodies, histories and knowledge from one world into the next. After upheaval, it becomes both a container for what survives and a means through which something new might begin.

My work ‘Guardian of Nothing’ is showing @rodolphejanssen in Brussels as part of the group show ‘Secret Skins’.
The show is open until 4th July.
“In an era saturated by the public staging of the self, this exhibition brings together a generation of artists who explore a non-spectacular intimacy: the private body, the fragile or self-assured nude, always held in tension between desire, narrative, vulnerability, and introspection.”
“ fragmented, vulnerable figures that invite a deeper psychological reading.”
