When #HollyRamsay and her fiancé, the #Olympic swimmer #AdamPeaty, settled on the 13th-century Bath Abbey as their wedding venue, the bride knew she needed a dress that could measure up to its Gothic splendour. She turned to @ElieSaabBridal – and plotted a special outfit change into her mum @TanaRamsay’s ’90s wedding dress – for her special day. A night full of raw emotion and sport in its true form. These last 14 months have been incredibly testing and I do not regret one training session or decision I made. I’ve continued to fight and find new ways to enjoy something that has broken me to the core and to end up with an Olympic silver through all of that is an absolute blessing. I’m more proud of the man and athlete I am from last night than I have been across my entire career.
Thank you to my coach of 15 years @melmarshallmassive who has been the light in the darkness and the guide when there was no path to follow; your uncompromising, firm and positive attitude is truly inspiring and I can’t think of a better person to be my coach. We have gone to places not many people will ever go and those memories will be with me until my last breath - a true pleasure to share them with you.
Thank you to @hollyramsayy who has been the best partner anyone could have in all of this. It’s never easy to undertake the challenges of living with a professional athlete with the emotional and physical toll it takes on us. You are the support behind me but also the best pruner of the tree, always letting me know and helping me where I can be better. I can’t wait for the exciting future we have together.

I am always an advocate for complete transparency in sport as there are so many gears to make it all work. As per the British Olympic Association press release, I tested positive for COVID this morning after feeling unwell yesterday. I’ll now be focusing on a fast, full recovery to give my best in the team relays later in the week.
I’ve had so many messages and I’ll get back to you all, thank you for your support as it has truly been an unforgettable journey.

Balancing a lot the last few months but I know that there’s so much light ahead. In the hardest moments it feels like I’m surrounded and there’s no way through it - but as always “The sun always rises the next day” so I’ll give it my best.
Take care of yourself but push through it with everything you can.
One of my favourite verses to share with you, especially if you’re in a similar situation is, John 1:5 – “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

10 Years ago today!
My first Olympic Gold and 2x World Records across the three races. This was 7 years of brutal training and treating every competition as an Olympic Final - we over prepared but it meant that if anything went wrong (it did), we could still deliver.
As I look back, it was one of my favourite championships. Not because of the outcome but because of the journey of everything me and @melmarshallmassive went through up to that point. I have honestly never felt a relief like it, knowing that all the decisions I made in those 7 years, had finally paid off. What a pleasure it was to race @cameronvdburgh at the pinnacle of our sport and we have come along way since then @james.g.guy 😅
Now onto Europeans this week! Before our @apraceofficial Summer Tour! Time to get it flying again 📈🏆

My 50th International Championship Medal 🏆
A proud moment for me after a monumental effort to climb back from the Olympics two years ago. But as we know, sport is cruel, it’s the same reason that it’s beautiful. But why do it? I still love standing on the blocks, hearing the roar of the crowd, fighting inch by inch in every stroke, putting myself on the line, and, because I’m not finished. Ultimately, I know these are the stories I will be telling my children and their children.
Bronze in the 100m was a bittersweet moment, I must put it into the perspective that it’s my first championship since Paris 2024. But with that, I know in my soul that I am capable of much more, as all athletes, I push myself to the extremity in training for better results. The race just didn’t come together unfortunately and I am building my race skills back together.
The canvas is set and I know this story won’t be filled with glory, victory and gold. However I’ll keep fighting, learning, adapting and striving for excellence until I can no longer give anymore. Sport isn’t a fairytale if your happiness and self-worth are only validated by medals. But it can be, if you find value in the hardship, the struggle and the tough times which might ultimately lead you to what you seek.
To the younger athletes, never be discouraged by a performance you’re not happy with, do not be afraid to be vulnerable in knowing that your training deserved more and use the pain to keep fighting. Enjoy every second because this journey goes much faster than you think.
To the people out there who want to hurt me and my family with comments, I have seen this story thousand times with other athletes from many sports. We are athletes, doing something we love and that is our deepest passion. As it’s said, be the change you want to see in the world, and, I want a better world for the next generation of athletes. Love always wins.

I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to race again at this level. Thankful for my wife, my friends, my team, and the people in the stands who cheer my name. Racing with my countries’ flag on my cap is the greatest honour.
