What a crazy Friday night it was, I took on a very tough opponent under K1 rules and got the W. I had the honour to represent my club @elitemartialarts and the best country in the world Australia 🇦🇺 at the 2023 ISKA WORLD CUP🏆 Firstly, I would like to thank my Master and the President of @combattaekwondofederation @brenfosterreal for all the guidance, support and for always pushing me to the best I can be without you sir I wouldn’t be where I am today. I also want to thank my instructors/Elite Family @jimmy_kambanis @jay.foster1 @mrschelseajeanfoster @kiaragilesxx and all my students for the constant support and always cheering me on. 🥋 MORE THAN A SPORT. MORE THAN A PASSION. A WAY OF LIFE. ❤️

*Some of the hardest battles we face are the ones nobody else can see*
Today reminded me exactly why I fell in love with teaching martial arts.
After months away from training and facing his own challenges in life, one of my adult students stepped back onto the mats today.
Because sometimes, the biggest victory isn’t winning a fight. It’s finding the strength to show up when life has given you every reason not to.
As an instructor, my passion has never just been about developing great martial artists. It’s about helping people become stronger, healthier and more resilient versions of themselves.
Physically. Mentally. Emotionally. Spiritually.
Martial arts teaches us discipline when motivation fades, confidence when self-doubt takes over, resilience when life knocks us down and self-control when our emotions become overwhelming.
It’s more than a sport. It’s a life skill, an outlet, a community, and sometimes a place where people rediscover themselves when life has knocked them down.
One of the greatest privileges of being an instructor isn’t seeing how hard someone can hit or how many championships they win.
It’s watching someone rebuild their confidence, overcome their personal battles and find the courage to believe in themselves again.
I don’t teach martial arts simply because I love it. I teach because I love helping people grow, overcome adversity and become better versions of themselves.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not always about creating champions inside the ring. Sometimes, it’s about helping people become champions in their own lives.
We don’t just teach people how to fight. We teach them how to face life. 🧿🥋❤️ @elitemartialarts
