This verite clip from Rabb’s watch party and victory night on May 19th gives insight into how surreal of a night it was. It’s an understatement to say that everyone who worked on the campaign was sleep deprived and beyond nervous for the result at this point, but spirits were high.
Nick was in the back kitchen where the team was monitoring the results when Alon, Rabb’s campaign manager, made the decision to call for the speech. He asked if he could follow Alon while he went to get Rabb from upstairs, Alon said yes, and Nick hustled after him, filming the crowd as he went.
When it was announced, the room erupted and local news and other camera folks rushed the stage. Maneuvering to the front was like pushing through a punk show. Nick’s tripod was displaced in the chaos, so he held up the FX6 above as many heads as he could to capture Rabb’s speech. A huge victory to be amongst comrades across organizations like DSA, Sunrise Movement, and WFP to name a few, celebrating the hard and integral work they put in over the past year.

May Day 2026, we filmed and edited another video for Philly DSA, this time featuring public educator and DSA and PFT Member Dr. Keon Liberato to talk about his vision for a socialist future.
We saw so many familiar faces and community members who we worked with last year, sharing their stories of organizing, fighting, and winning. It was easy to feel inspired and proud of the community and energizing to connect with Dr. Liberato on his hopeful vision for the future.

Hotel Workers in Philly won big this summer when they fought for a new contract during the industry's busy season!. With America 250 looming and the world cup taking over North America, they went on a 9 day strike that won them $30 an hour, workload improvements, and better benefits.
We captured some footage of their celebratory soccer match and march to City Hall. The energy was high and cathartic. When we fight, we WIN!

In October 2025, we worked with CIR Residents at Howard University Hospital to help share their story fighting for a better contract. This particular production centered on a meeting with Senator Sanders where they asked for his support to put pressure on the hospital to meet their demands.
Howard University Hospital Residents were the lowest paid in DC at the time, and that directly translated to the care of their patients. Residents were overworked, often working over 100 hour weeks, under immense student debt, struggling to afford groceries and rent. One Doctor told us his colleague only had time and money to eat crackers for dinner. It’s impossible to deliver the best care possible under those conditions. Hurting Residents, hurts the entire community.
After applying pressure and a long fight, Residents earned a contract guaranteeing higher wages, improved working conditions, and better benefits.

This clip of Rep Rabb is from a fundraiser outside of Renata’s in West Philly the day Hasan came to stream with him. A huge crowd gathered in the courtyard despite a nasty storm rumbling in from across the river. Despite the consistent drizzle that slowly got heavier and heavier, everyone stuck around .
Right after Hasan finished, the sky opened up with a proper summer storm and sent everyone scattering, but it made it one of the most memorable moments from the campaign.
To see so many young people enthusiastic and hopeful in a better politics sticking it out in such rough conditions speaks to the ethos Rabb brought to his campaign. Of course Hasan got a lot of people off the phones too.

Here’s a sneak peek of an upcoming short documentary we filmed with Philly DSA and Starbucks Workers United where we documented their action travelling to York, PA to shut down Starbuck’s largest distribution center on the East Coast.

May Day 2025 in Philly saw a turning point in the local labor movement, where union leaders, electeds, DSA members, and others chose to engage in a demonstration of civil disobedience after a rally and a march, blocking the street and getting arrested.
That more militant posture has persisted into 2026, and with unions and people getting organized and fighting and winning across different sectors, it’s hard not to feel emboldened and hopeful.
Over the past five years, we've documented organizing workers all over the US, but to see a city come together in this action made it clear that the future is very bright for Philadelphia and working people everywhere.

Looking back on the UAW strike of almost 50K academic workers across UC campuses in 2022 makes it clear how much of a tone-setting strike it was for the next few years.
So much solidarity and support across disciplines and across unions, so much enthusiasm and fight. It was really an inspiration for us, and one of our first filmmaking journeys into the labor movement. It made it clear to us as filmmakers that organizing, fighting, and winning against seemingly anonymous, amorphous, and nefarious profit-orientated organizations is an emotional and near-religious community experience.

Throwback to 2023 when we caught up with some WGA writers picketing outside of Disney to talk about their strike. Overwork, undercompensation, job stability, and AI were the main issues on hearts and minds and in 3 years not much has changed.
America runs on the exploitation of labor, always has, and always will (until we win). When you study labor history, including the practices of Disney and other mega corporations, that truth is unignorable.
Is there anything that can rehabilitate the image of AI in the court of public opinion? We don’t think so.

Looking back on this clip and interview from the Free Palestine March on Washington in October 2023, it shines a really clear light on why this issue has become so central to the broader leftist movement in the US.
Palestinian Freedom is connected to the freedom of all oppressed and occupied peoples. Whether that be those oppressed by police, or ethno-fascist governments. The more you study, the clearer this becomes. It’s essential for all of us to understand this and to be steadfast in support of a Free Palestine and to apply that moral clarity and analysis to all people.
