take a quick tour of my dream website that i designed and built on @wix with the help of one of my favorite creatives, @msilena ✨ Maria is a force. One of the most versatile and talented women I know and i thank all my angels and lucky stars that our paths crossed and brought us together as friends and then collaborators. If you want a beautiful and functional website and you have a vision that seems too big to accomplish, Maria is your girl. I’m sure she can build normal websites too but tbh why would you want that when you could have this? 😍🌈✨💗🌻 Also (and this is NOT paid!!) i want to say that @wix is the best platform to build a website as creative and custom as this. For years, I tried almost every website building platform to capture the versatility and full spectrum of my work and abilities and I would always end up with a variation of the same minimal and bland design. In my work, I like to immerse people into the worlds I am creating and for my website, I wanted to immerse people into MY world. What it’s like to be inside my brain. I can’t thank Wix enough for building a space that didn’t limit my creativity. We had a blast building this and i am immensely proud of how this turned out. lil life update🦋 it’s not always rainbows and butterflies over here in my little world but something in me doesn’t stop looking for the magic. It’s my lifeline. My safety blanket. What keeps me going. I’m really proud of who i am becoming✨ Ps: i didn’t really emphasize this before but, please go to the doctor if your gut tells you something is off. I understand healthcare in this country feels like a privilege, but there are more options out there than people realize. happy to report that i can, in fact, confirm that all the texture, the colors, the lights, the bugs, the flowers, the heart, and all the feeling in my work comes from my homeland, Colombia. 26 years is a long time to go without knowing your origin story. I was five when my parents immigrated to the US with me and my brother. For 26 years, i had stories and fuzzy memories that didn’t feel like my own. Now I’ve touched the earth in my homeland with own hands. I’ve rolled in the sand and climbed the mountains. I’ve smelled the flowers and eaten my weight in tropical fruits. Now i know what my tia’s hugs feel like and have been blessed by my great uncle Gonzalo. It’s funny how memories work. They can be so hazy and then in a single second, all the details come flooding back. “end of august” starring @ellsworthsullivan and Sequoi, the chocolate Lab😭 Photographed at Evan’s Aunt’s lake house, which, in recent years, has become one of my favorite places to visit. Its a quiet,sacred space, immortalized with it’s 1970’s interiors with wood panel walls and a tiny, wobbly spiral staircare you swear is going to kill you, but it doesnt—it just reminds you of that sense of childlike wonder we all used to have. I cherish my time here, soaking up the sunlight when we lay out on the dock, or curling up on the back porch in the mornings when we all quietly sip on our coffees. If it sounds romantic, it’s because it is. It’s sacred. it’s family. It’s home. We made these pictures last august, the weekend Evan and I got engaged (after we got married, which is another story for another time). Evan’s mom had travelled from Texas and had picked these apples at an orchard. They were so juicy and bright and they matched Ellsworth’s jeans with the apple patches. Was it documenting time or playing pretend? I often find that my work fits in this special place of make-believe characters, but the whimsy is all real. Yes, we’re romping and rolling around but these moments all feel so honest and vulnerable; I just capture what I see. Oh Dolly… There aren’t enough words to express how much this loss hurts. There aren’t enough colors in the world to paint a picture of what she meant to me. It was my ultimate dream, my biggest, most sacred ambition, to create something for her. I wanted, so badly, to collaborate with her in putting a little more color, a little more light, and a whole lot of love into the world. I couldn’t manifest it fast enough.  I resonated with Dolly in so many ways. Her optimism and perspective on life uplifted me and inspired me to hope and to keep moving forward when life knocked me down or when I failed at something. I often thought about her beginnings, where she came from, and the lack of resources she had as a child and a young artist. I was comforted by her resilience and her faith that no matter how bad things got, she had already survived so much that she knew she was capable of overcoming anything. Her advice and her words were for everyone, but she had the ability to make me feel like God was using her to communicate with me.   I am honored that when people see rhinestones and butterflies and Dolly, they also think of me. I will continue to work towards my dream of collaborating with her—and now her legacy— and believe that for the rest of my life, I will be uncovering all the ways in which she has impacted not just my art, but who I am as a person and an artist. There was an epic thunderstorm yesterday evening. Trees fell down, and traffic was backed up for miles. The sky boomed and clapped, and as the clouds flickered with lightning, the power in my house went out. When the sky settled and the streets quieted down and the day shifted softly into nighttime, the sunset that followed was brilliant and bright. Pockets of pink skies swirled with orange and purples and blue. Something about how “if you want the rainbow… you gotta put up with the rain”. 26 Aug 2026

Choose your fighter @netflix YA edition💥 I’ve been trying to get someone to let me make custom trading cards for *literally* yeeeears. (2nd to last slide has some trading cards I’ve made over the years) Thank you to @iambrianmarcus and @swocks for all the creative trust and freedom. I grew up surrounded by baseball cards, Loteria cards, and the vibrant colors of the piñatas in our local Hispanic grocery store. I’m always weaving little details and bits of myself into the art I make so it’s really special when companies ask for something authentically… ME. It’s what I’m good at, and it really fulfills my little creative soul!! Yeah I coulda made this digitally, but it’s the tiny drop shadows, the texture of the paper, the wonkiness of the hand-painted outline, and the tiny mistakes I made with my scissors that make it SING! This was an incredibly ambitious project and we really pulled it off in record time. It involved a lot of prep work and pre-designing and hand-making the cards ahead of time, multiple retouchers on site, and a workflow that we literally rehearsed the day of to make sure things would flow seamlessly. We photographed 77 people in 3 hours and turned out around 78 cards. I’ve always wanted to do a portrait studio for a big event but in my own style. I hope it shows that event/award photography can exist in a detailed and mixed-media space! Don’t get me wrong, I love a beautiful photograph that can exist as just a photograph (y’all haven’t even seen these photos themselves YET!!), but the idea behind trading cards is that they create community. They’re not just photos you glance at for 2 seconds on a screen, they have the potential to be collected, traded, and cherished as a physical item that celebrates someone many people love. At the core of everything I make is a whole lot of heart and attention to detail. I hope you can feel it like I do💗 Thank you to my village for helping me make this happen. felt like i was assembling avengers on this one😈 new work for @netflix out now✨ what a whirlwind 48 hours— directed and photographed 77 beautiful people in 3 hours and then worked 10 hours straight to make this lil piece for @netflixtudum Thank you @iambrianmarcus and @swocks for all your trust on this. It feels so fulfilling to be so seen and valued as an artist and to be wanted and hired to be your full creative self. It’s a feeling i don’t take for granted and am honored to be able to experience.
