QOTD: your battery % determines what you are reading next: 0-33%: a prophecy and hidden powers 34-70%: dark magic & monsters 71-100%: animal companions and family bonds [author collab] What if I told you that The Awakening of the Prophecy by author @tomaszurbanski.author has ALL things listed above ?👀 This is a YA dark fantasy that reminded me of The Witcher’s dark fantasy vibes! It has monsters and wizards but also a story with deep emotional connection with family bonds, animal companions and discovering who you really are🖤🐺This was a moody and atmospheric read, with a slower pacing, which I think fit well for the story. It follows a prophecy surrounding a girl with hidden powers who could change the fate of the world… but she has no idea who she is, until one day she finds a mysterious wolf in the woods and then everything changes. My favorite part was her loyal wolf, Miracle. 👉 available on kindle unlimited ✨there is currently a Goodreads giveaway hurry to check it out at https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/show/452594 ✨ SYNOPSIS: Fifteen-year-old Sarah has always felt different, though she has never known why. Hidden away in the Forgotten Village, she has lived a quiet life shaped by family, forest, and secrets she does not yet understand. But beyond the safety of the village, something deadly is moving through the dark. When a terrifying encounter in the woods leads her to a mysterious black wolf with golden eyes, Sarah’s world begins to change in ways she cannot stop. Strange powers awaken inside her. A dark wizard is hunting her. And the truth about her past is rising from the shadows. Once the darkness learns her name, it will not let her go. “For not all kindness is returned in kind— And some gifts awaken debts that fate demands in blood.” As prophecy stirs and ancient evil closes in, Sarah must uncover who she truly is before her enemies do — because some destinies cannot stay buried. And some fates demand more than any girl should ever have to give. #yafantasy #yafantasybooks #darkfantasy #thewitcher #yabookstagram 0 likes · 17 comments · 21 Oct 2026

Today, while spending time with my son, I remembered something from my childhood that I hadn't thought about in years. I remembered how badly I wanted a bicycle, how happy I was when I finally got one, and how devastated I felt when someone stole it. It reminded me how quickly things can change, and how important it is to appreciate those moments of happiness while we have them. Then I thought about Sarah, the girl at the heart of my fantasy series. Her story is very different from mine. But as her world changes and fear becomes part of her life, she faces questions that matter deeply to me. How far would we go to protect the people we love? And when we're afraid of losing everything, can we still find the courage to care about others? Because I believe that when we lose our humanity, we lose everything. The first story is mine. The second is Sarah's. 📖 The Awakening of the Prophecy Book One of The Ancient Blood Series What about you? Is there a childhood memory that has stayed with you all these years? #yafantasy #fantasybooks #fantasyauthor #bookstagram #indieauthor 17 likes · 3 comments · 15 Oct 2026

I left a signed copy of The Awakening of the Prophecy somewhere in Douglas today. 📚👀 Inside is a little handwritten message for whoever happens to find it. I love the idea that this copy might end up with someone who wasn’t expecting to discover it. If you find it, I’d love to know where its journey takes it. 😊 Happy reading ❤️ #fantasybooks #indieauthor #darkfantasy #bookstagram #corkireland 14 likes · 16 comments · 06 Oct 2026

Hi, I’m Tomasz 👋 author of The Awakening of the Prophecy, Book One of The Ancient Blood Series. On the surface, it’s a YA dark fantasy about magic, monsters, an ancient prophecy, hidden bloodlines and a mysterious black wolf. 🐺 Underneath all of that, it’s about family, love, sacrifice… and one secret that changes everything. If you’re a fantasy reader, what pulls you into a new book first: the world, the characters, or the mystery? 👀 📚 Book One is out now: link in bio. #yadarkfantasy #fantasybooks #fantasyreaders #bookstagram #indieauthor 14 likes · 2 comments · 02 Oct 2026

Fantasy readers, I need your help with something 😄 I’m supposed to be on holiday, but apparently my writer brain didn’t get the memo. Sitting here today, I started thinking about how many books we scroll past before one makes us stop. So I’m genuinely curious: What makes you take a chance on a fantasy book by an author you’ve never read before? Is it the cover? The blurb? Reviews? Someone recommending it? The first page? Or one particular trope that gets you every single time? For me, atmosphere and that feeling of something bigger hiding underneath the story can pull me in very quickly. And bonus question - what was the last fantasy book by a new-to-you author that surprised you? I’m asking as both a reader and a very new author. I’d genuinely love to hear the answers. 📚 #FantasyReaders #FantasyBooks #Bookstagram #YAFantasy #IndieFantasy 25 Sep 2026

Coffee in hand and back to Chapter One of The Path of Shadows. ☕📖 I’m reading it again from the beginning today, and it’s funny how different those first pages feel once you know where the story is going. Back into Book Two. 🌒 #FantasyAuthor #DarkFantasy #YAFantasy #AmWritingFantasy Bookstagram 15 Sep 2026

I’ve been a little quiet here lately. Sometimes I think you need to step away from all the noise for a while and simply let the story take over. I’ve been spending that time working on Book Two of The Ancient Blood Series - The Path of Shadows. Sarah’s journey isn’t finished. In fact, the path ahead is becoming darker, the world is getting bigger, and some of the questions left behind in Book One are beginning to lead somewhere I’ve been looking forward to writing for a long time. This view in Malta reminded me how much a little quiet can help when your head is full of characters, places and stories. For now, I’ll just say this… Book One was the awakening. Book Two is where the path begins to change. 📖 The Ancient Blood Series When you need to clear your head, where would you rather be - by the sea, in the mountains, or deep in a forest? 🌊⛰️🌲 #AuthorLife #IndieAuthor #FantasyAuthor #YAFantasy #darkfantasy 08 Sep 2026

Most of my book ideas aren’t born at a desk. They’re born here. 🏋️‍♂️📚 The gym is one of the few places where I can completely switch off from everyday life. Somewhere between sets, plots begin to form, characters start talking, and new scenes appear in my head. It’s where I can relax, feel free, step away from reality for a while… and disappear into worlds that don’t exist yet. A surprising amount of The Awakening of the Prophecy and now Book Two, has been imagined right here. Where do your best ideas come to you? 07 Aug 2026
