some things just stay. I’ve been using my Alaska GTX for almost a decade now, and I still reach for them whenever I’m heading out on a serious photo mission. They’re not the lightest, they’re not the fastest, but they’re incredibly sturdy and have taken me to some pretty remote places, on and off the trail. I’ve always had a soft spot for things that are made to be used, repaired and kept around. Even though I do like trying different approaches to footwear, with these, I know I’m covered whatever comes my way. Once I start noticing the smaller things, lines, shapes and colours, patterns begin to emerge in the landscape around me. Connections, combinations and parallels appear that I hadn’t seen before. Celebrating patterns with @barbour and their reimagined Tartan collection. For generations, Barbour’s tartans have drawn inspiration from the English countryside. i’ve been to lofoten several times before, but this time in june felt different. my girlfriend and i crossed the islands from the northeast all the way to the southwest by foot. over the past few years of doing outdoor photography, i’ve realized that i get the most immersive experience out of photography when there’s some kind of physical challenge involved. hiking a long way, climbing a bunch of elevation, and eventually arriving at a place i had pictured in my head has always given me this enthusiastic mix of excitement and joy. on a long distance hike like that, i figured it need to be a balance between taking the light as it falls, working with what’s in front of you, and knowing when to ignore the plan and stay a in a place you like. these are photos from one of my personal favorite stages of the lofoten crossing. co-produced by @ka________ri 2,346 likes · 103 comments · 23 Aug 2026

once a year, when the sun is in the right spot and the trees are not yet full of leaves, it illuminates the rock formation at altschlossfelsen in the pfalz during sunset. the ‘felsenglühen’ itself is a beautiful phenomenon, but the location is spectacular on its own. the red sandstone sculptures feel like something you wouldn’t expect in germany. i personally loved the details especially when the light hit the structures.🏜️ 4,075 likes · 122 comments · 01 May 2026
