19 puppies. One Sunday. Bark on the Block is back.
On Sunday, November 8, we’re throwing a block party for dogs and the people who love them. It’s free, all ages, and leashed, friendly, vaccinated dogs are welcome.

Want to take one home? We don’t do same-day adoptions for anyone who hasn’t applied before the party, so start now:
1. Read the adoption guide.
2. Submit an application, and write “Bark on the Block” as the dog’s name.
3. Complete a home check before November 8.

Not adopting? Come anyway. Free 10-minute training with Belle’s Boarding and Bath, spin the wheel for prizes, local vendors and pet brands, a bounce house for the kids, and free food. Hosted by Belle’s Boarding and Bath, with support from Tito’s Handmade Vodka and E&B Resources.

Two years in darkness. A lifetime of love ahead. Meet Dozer. ❤️🩹
At just two years old, Dozer had never known life outside of a dark basement, confined to a kennel with no bed, no comfort, and no love. For his entire life, this was all he knew.
When Dozer finally took his freedom ride, we knew we had a long road ahead. His body told the heartbreaking story of years of neglect. Painfully overgrown nails, bloody paws, scars covering his body, and ears that had been terribly cropped and left poorly healed.
But despite everything, Dozer greeted his new life with a wagging tail and a heart full of love. 🥹
Since coming into our care, Dozer has already been neutered, received much-needed dental work, and undergone treatment to clean up his damaged ears. He’s still battling persistent ear infections, may need additional surgery to remove masses, and will need training classes to help him adjust to the big new world he’s only just discovering.
And while Dozer’s past is behind him, the cost of giving him the future he deserves is adding up quickly.
From surgeries and ongoing veterinary care to training and rehabilitation, every step of his journey comes at a cost. But we believe this sweet boy is worth every penny.
Thanks to an incredible committed foster, Dozer finally has a safe place to land. Now we’re asking our community to help us give him everything he was denied for the first two years of his life.

“Abriella is looking for a loving home offering a safe space to get adjusted. She is pretty timid but slowly starts to warm up to you after a while. She is super curious and loves to follow around her foster brother. She is new to playing with her toys so it’s fun to see her open up and start to show even the slightest amount of excitement. She is really well potty trained even though she is a bit hesitant on walks. Overall she’s an amazing pup looking for a second chance at looking at the world through a new perspective.”

“Tokopah is doing a great job using pee pads and will usually whimper to let you know when she needs to go potty. Like most puppies her age, she occasionally nips, so be sure to keep plenty of chew toys on hand. She especially enjoys squeaky toys and rope toys, although she may still try to sneak in an ankle or toe nip now and then!
This pretty girl knows the “sit” command and will often sit even without being asked. She also recognizes her name and responds when you call her. Tokopah is very food-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding for both of you.
She loves to wrestle, chase other puppies, and be chased in return. You’re sure to fall in love with this blue-eyed beauty and her playful spirit.”

🐾 Meet Bocelli
Bocelli is the sweetest and silliest puppy! We initially thought he was 100% blind, but thankfully learned he’s visually impaired rather than completely blind. He loves all the humans he meets (kids included!) and playing with his foster sibling around the apartment! ❤️

“Bocelli is so bouncy, full of life and energy. He loves to be your little shadow and just be near you while you are at home working, cooking, etc. so far I have not noticed any crying when I leave my home, he just puts himself to sleep. But when you are home, he wants to be right next to you!! He still seems like he is able to see things, like he is not fully blind. He loves to make silly noises when he is playing with my dog too. Really the sweetest dog, whoever ends up adopting Bocelli is the luckiest person❤️ he is learning potty training so fast!!”

“Langley is super curious, playful, and loves exploring everything around him. He’s really smart, a little mischievous, and definitely has a mind of his own.
He gets along really well with other dogs and loves being part of whatever is going on. He’s very social and always wants to be included, whether it’s playing, exploring, or just hanging out. He absolutely loves being outside, playing with sticks, and discovering new things. He’s full of puppy energy and loves playing with his toys.
Langley is still learning his puppy manners. He’s working on potty training and getting comfortable being on his own. He can be pretty vocal, especially when left alone, and isn’t shy about letting you know when he wants attention!
Langley would love a family who enjoys getting outside, exploring, and including him in their adventures. He’ll also need someone patient and committed to continuing his training as he grows. He’s a really sweet little boy who loves having company and being involved in everything.”

Pickles is a feisty, curious, and adventurous little girl who is always on the go!

“Meet Pickles!
A true energizer bunny, she brings endless fun, enthusiasm, and affection wherever she goes. She absolutely loves to play and will happily play with her toys all day long, especially when it comes to fetch and tug-of-war. Pickles adores her foster siblings and holds her own during playtime.. size does not matter to her at all! She has also just started finding her sweet little bark, though she is generally not a very vocal pup.
When she is not running around, Pickles is an absolute snuggle bug. She loves to follow you everywhere like a little shadow right at your feet, so you will just want to watch your step as she stays close. After a fun session of playing, she turns into a fantastic napper and comfortably sleeps straight through the night. She shows her affection with sweet puppy nibbles as she gets to know you and shower you with love.
Pickles is super smart and learns quickly, especially since she is very food motivated and eager to earn small treats. Just be sure to keep an eye on your plate, as she might try to steal a bite if given the chance! She has made incredible progress with potty training and is officially diaper-free. She quickly catches on once you show her where her designated spot is, and she currently does great using a fake grass mat.
Because she is still in her puppy nibbling phase, she would do best with older children rather than very young kids. Pickle is such an active, amazing, and deeply loving pup, and she cannot wait to find her forever family!”
