@technogym for the best treadmill
@kekous and I worked on this for a while. The goal was to shoot something bigger than we’d imagined, and most importantly, to have fun doing it. In a time where I’m full of doubt about where I want to go with my filmmaking career, this project gave me such a boost in the right direction.
We shot the studio part at @studio2go.nl in Haarlem. My own studio was way too small for what we envisioned.
At first, we wanted the classic ceiling setup, but with no real budget, I decided to build it myself, with help from @hetlichtamsterdam (for the grip and rigging), and most importantly, the incredible 600C Novas from @aputure.europe. Such a solid system. Being able to dial in light, create scenes and control everything from the iPad felt amazing.
As mentioned, Erwan and I did everything ourselves. But during the studio setup, we had a few helping hands we’re super grateful for. So thanks @eileenvarkel, @valentijnstomp, and @gabriele_farinella for jumping in!

Just uploaded a new YouTube video! The first one since October 2023... @mazdaeurope invited me to shoot an episode of their Mazda Discovers series. I got to document how ski's and snowboards are made. A beautiful craft done so meticulously by @spurart. An honor to see them work and spend time with them in the mountains.

No matter where I go or what I do, I feel most alive when I'm in nature. Going through these images and thinking back to the moment on the Moondance brings back so much joy. Even though it was one of the most challenging projects I had done in 2022 (because I did not know what to expect), my memories are the most beautiful.
Sharing time with like-minded people on the mountain is one, but sharing time with like-minded people on a boat surrounded by mountains is a different story.
Trips like these make me want to explore the world and see what else there is to find.
A huge thanks to the @sailingtaxi crew for the hospitality and another very special thank you to @iam.michiel for the knowledge and the fun rides in the terrain.

@sony.benelux KANDO 2026 in rural Romania is a wrap. Feeling so fortunate to be a part of this incredible group of photographers and filmmakers.
From feeling quite insecure, to coming home with tons of new ideas and motivation… ➡️
For a while Ive been feeling creatively blocked. Some of my main worries before going on this trip were that I wasnt up to the level of some of the attendees.
Funny enough, within minutes of coming together this feeling fades, and stoke and excitement takes its place.
Being surrounded by 30 pro photographers and filmmakers is not something you do daily, so having conversations about the struggle is so valuable. Helps realise youre not alone.
What inspired me most, was that we’re pointing the camera to the same object, from almost the same identical angle, yet everyone comes home with totally different shots.
None of us were true wildlife/bird photographers, yet everyone pushed boundries and came home with amazing photos, videos and memories.
Also incredibly funny to see so many nerds together. 🤣
My boat was also highly motivated.
We also got to experience some local music and dance, which was surprisingly fun and entertaining!
We were followed everywhere.
Enjoyed some amazing views, in a country you’d rarely visit yourself.
Enjoyed some proper company!

Couldn’t resist to try out the new Sony 8-14mm fisheye during this trip. This kind of trashy video is what got me hooked so many years ago, so I had to make a quick edit.
It really shows what the energy what like during our first day in Romania during @sony.benelux Kando. What a blast to be part of this incredible group of creators.

Had a blast joining the @smallrig.global creator tour at @kameraexpress, running a live demo on how to light an interview. We went deep on negative fill, all kinds of diffusion (big, small, soft, softer), and how to shape light for exactly the look you want. Rembrandt, beauty, and even the classic “anonymous witness” setup.
Big thanks to everyone who came by, asked questions and stuck around for the raffle. Congrats to the winners, you know who you are!
And shoutout to @photo.frank for the photos🫶🏻

We did a thing! For Brasco’s new collection we decided to do something different, shoot everything on film. Photos and video, no digital backup, just film!
We took it to the beach and around the city of Haarlem and just went full experimental. No stress, no second guessing, none of that usual client pressure creeping in. Just us, a bunch of film rolls, and some amazing talents. It genuinely felt like shooting for the fun of it again.
Shooting on film made us realise that it’s okay to take it slow during the shoot. You take time, measure light, frame up your shot, instead of just filling up SD cards with gigabytes, you really have to think about what you shoot. We just had 2 rolls with 3 minutes of film and a total of 280 photos. Totally different than what we used to do but super satisfying and humbling.
Frank scanned all the stills himself, and then we drove out to Haghefilm in Den Haag to watch them develop our 16mm Kodak. Seeing it all come together after that was such a wholesome moment, especially when most of the year is spent under deadlines and client notes. Just really nice to remember why we started doing this in the first place.
Video is shot on the old krasnogorsk-3 with @kodak_shootfilm Vision 250D.
All photography is shot on the Fuji GA645 and the Konica Hexar RF, all with Kodak Gold 200.
We are super happy with how this turned out. Big shout out to everyone who helped out with this.
This was my first time shooting with this cam. I picked it up from Ebay a couple months ago, but didnt get around to touch it. This was the perfect moment to use it!

Franks first time shooting on the Fuji. Medium format point and shoot cam that absolutely blew us away.
We did develop a lot of our own film before, but we found it too tedious. So now @hetfotovakhuishaarlem does the heavy lifting of developing and Frank is scanning the photos himself.

The biggest adventures start small🗻.
Meet Nola, born July 12th.
Born 8:53 in the morning after an intense, lengthy 36 hours of contractions.
Incredibly proud of @tessahurkmans for being so so strong.
Walking out with extra cargo and big smiles.
We went through this together, every second I stood by her side. Immensely proud and amazed by the strength of this woman. 👩
