One year ago today, in front of 50 thousand people at the 2025 Breeders’ Cup -The San Diego Children’s Choir performed the first ever live version of I WISH by Random Acts Of Kindness.🎶 The emotional reception of the song - and its’ message delivered so beautifully by the choir - was truly palpable. The response from those who witnessed it was beyond anything we expected. It was indeed the catalyst to an absolutely incredible year for I WISH - Now with millions of streams globally across the platforms.🌎 We knew then just how special this song was - and cannot wait to show you where the song will be sung next. We are so excited to announce the next chapter in the journey of our song I WISH - as we witness in real time - how this magnificent Song for Social Change has become a global movement.🌎 This phenomenon has been beautifully summarized below by Random Acts Of Kindness founder, Ken Freirich: “I WISH is a song that can change the world. One year ago today, Random Acts of Kindness released our song “I WISH.” What began as a heartfelt song written by founder Ken Freirich - has grown into a movement of kindness - and it has shown all of us that even the smallest acts of compassion and goodwill can effect real social change in a larger, more collective way. From the start, Ken believed the song belonged to the voices of children. Their honesty would make its message both poignant and powerful, a true reflection of what the song is about.🫶 That vision came to life last October, when the San Diego Children’s Choir performed “I WISH” live for the very first time at the Breeders’ Cup. The moment was so moving that it inspired Ken to take the song around the world with children’s choirs. 🎶 Next came the soulful recording by the GRAMMY-nominated African Children’s Choir - captured in a small studio in Uganda - with its accompanying video now having garnered more than 33 million streams globally. We could not be more proud of the song’s success, and the journey is far from over!
