Couture is a way of thinking, a perspective from which to choose to look.
It is an unexplored territory, a delicate ecosystem where care and human connection are everything; a balance kept alive by those who choose this craft with awareness.
Over the years, my passion for couture has defined who I am, shaping my choices and the paths I have taken.
I have learned by observing, by doing, and by listening.
Couture requires time and attention; it demands conviction and courage.
It is where I have always wanted to be, it is the place I have chosen to inhabit.
It is my way of understanding this profession: not merely a look, but a gesture; not just a silhouette, but a knowing hand, a perspective and a point of view from which to gaze upon imagined landscapes.
It is a land without maps and without compromises, a place of possibility, a space capable of becoming a vehicle for a most powerful expression.
We believed in a dream. It was a beautiful dream, to be shared and believed in, a landscape imagined from that point of view.
And yet, life is a journey and each chapter exists to make way for the next.
Nothing ever truly ends; everything evolves.
In the end, our identity and our values are the only things we truly own.
Remaining faithful to that identity and such values is the only to navigate what lies ahead with grace.
There is a line by Pasolini that I always carry with me:
“They will teach you not to shine. And you shine, instead.”
Thank you, then. For the work done, for the hands, for the courage, for the care; thank you to all those who have shared this perspective and walked beside me along this path. Without maps and without compromise. You know who you are.
And, despite everything, keep shining. Always.
Love, Pp

Balenciaga Summer 27. Fragments of Couture.
These are some of the elements we first explored in the haute couture atelier and then translated into the Summer 27 ready-to-wear collection. As a couture house, Balenciaga sees couture as culture; a space where every challenge is embraced simply for the sake of it: if it’s difficult, we find a way to realize it, and to do so beautifully. I’ve always believed that the solutions born in couture can be injected into everyday pieces—because what you wear every day holds an extraordinary value: the human being inhabiting the garment.

Balenciaga Summer 27. Les Coraux de la Liberte’.
No one shines alone.
Much like corals-which for over 160 million years have revealed their colors solely through a profound symbiosis with zooxanthellae—we, and the ideas we carry, require two fundamental elements to flourish: protection and reciprocal exchange.
To offer a safe space is to allow one another to speak and be heard. To embrace mutual nourishment is to transform what is fragile into something resilient and enduring.
Joy and light are never solitary achievements. They are, and will always be, the result of sustained, shared commitment.”
Thanks to all the people that have made this safe space possible.

55th Couture. The Molding.
The focal point of my research, ever since I arrived here, has always been the relationship between the body and the garment, and the centrality of the latter in relation to the variability of the final outcome. A garment without a body inhabiting it is merely a possibility. Sharing my ideas with the atelier triggered a chain reaction of solutions that took on a life of their own, creating a sort of new creative system; a shared, collaborative dialogue where the courage to try and the exchange of ideas became the true keys to everything.
The Molding Project became the purest expression of this collective conversation. The process became a negotiation between structure and freedom; a synthesis of technology, like the 3D scan, and the most traditional, sacred techniques of couture. The goal was to build a monumental, sculptural presence that never compromised the body’s breath, its movement, or its integrity. It became a balance struck between the absolute certainty of digital data and the sensitive, intuitive error of the human that touches and corrects and we, the humans, we made a lot of mistakes, corrected a lot and learned even more.
Choosing to walk untrodden paths, perhaps even recklessly is the only way to truly evolve and maybe do something meaningful.

55th Couture.
Haute couture is a complex equation, but the result is simple. Because the result is the people; not the garment itself, but the feeling it holds, the hours of life it contains, the thoughts, the words, the mistakes, and the corrections. The 55th couture show of the Maison de Couture BALENCIAGA is the result of a construction process, of searching for a dialogue with the people who, along with me, have always recognized the heart of this maison; those who have always known that the power of couture is to give shape to thought, to stimulate sight, taste, and exploration. I am deeply grateful to all the tailors, dressmakers, and every member of the atelier for embarking with me on a new, exciting, rich, and incredibly precious journey. Grazie, Pp

Unsized - A lightness of being. Balenciaga Spring 27.
I wanted to reclaim the radical essence of couture, which is the true identity of Balenciaga, where clothing respects the integrity of the body, and bring it into the rhythm of real life. I imagined our salon de couture animated by real people wearing contemporary pieces. For me ‘unsized’ is not a rejection of form, but a celebration of freedom.
Volumes are lightened to the point of weightlessness, keeping most looks under one kilogram. The architecture of the garment is no longer rigid or predetermined; it is an open intention that relies on the ebb and flow of the cloth, a ribbon, an immediate gesture. I am not interested in imposing a static silhouette. I want to offer a space where the wearer’s instinct defines the shape.
To capture this truth, we documented the collection directly within our workspaces. Stripping away the artifice of a traditional set and bringing the clothes into the raw reality of where they were conceived adds a deeply personal dimension. It grounds the vision. A contemporary wardrobe should add possibilities, treating ready-to-wear with the ultimate respect we give to couture, and to people.

Sarah & Celine. Keep rolling.
New York is perhaps the only place in the world that everyone has visited, even if they have never actually been there. It is a place both real and imaginary at the same time, and when we were conceiving this campaign, it felt like the only possible setting. Just as having Sarah portray a potential version of herself, and Celine capturing everything, even the off-camera moments, felt like the only possible choice
“Keep Rolling” depicts three different moments of the day, three different bags: one woman and her prisms of emotion and beauty . A story that develops in an environment that is naturally built to tell stories, one that feels intimately known by everyone. We wanted to introduce a sort of third eye: the gaze of the passerby, capturing what the world sees when it crosses paths with a
set. It is a web of overlapping stories that to me, evokes the emotions of a short tale.
I am deeply grateful to Sarah for stepping into this world with such effortless grace, and to Celine for her brilliant, unblinking direction. To the entire team who brought this vision to life on the streets of New York: thank you for making the complex look entirely natural.

Steph and Ayesha. Met 2026.
The more I reflect on sports, the more I believe that in an age of blurred icons, the modern athlete has ascended as the quintessential hero of our epoch. Beyond the spectacle, they personify the peak of human potential—a summit reached only through discipline, dedication, and sacrifice.
The arena remains a sacred space where equality and mutual respect are not just ideals, but necessities. It was a true pleasure to have Steph and Ayesha with us. Through sheer elegance and an incomparable work ethic, Stephen has revolutionized the sport. He serves as a poignant reminder that true greatness is not born of generic natural talent, but of the grace to honor the game and the discipline to redefine the possible.
The values of equality and inclusivity he champions in a field, perfectly embody my vision.
Balenciaga in a way, is indeed the perfect “field” to facilitate this same radical shift: breaking traditional codes to create a new, universal language of excellence, that everyone, everywhere can understand. And yes I am fan (all of my family is). Grazie Steph and Ayesha.

Hudson. Met 2026.
The “Matador” look worn by Hudson is both an archival reference from Cristóbal and a nod to the Spanish iconography that has always permeated his work; a garment originally born from the hyper-masculinity of the bullring, re-imagined by Cristóbal in the ‘40s for the feminine silhouette, and now brought full circle by Hudson.
It proves that art has no binary, and neither does fashion. True style isn’t about adhering to the history of a garment, but about the energy of the human being “in” the clothes.
There is an undeniable power that comes from being completely at ease in your own skin. When you stop dressing for a category and start dressing for yourself, the clothes lose their labels and simply become a reflection of your identity.
