Still taking in this night. 🌳 I had the honor of emceeing the 2026 @prospect_park Alliance Gala, where together, through tickets, tables, donations, bids, and a whole lot of generosity, we raised more than $1 MILLION in support of Prospect Park. Long before Plant Kween, I spent years building community and leading rooms, so stepping onto this stage felt like returning to something I’ve always loved: bringing people together around what matters. The night brought a first, too: I led both the live auction and the room’s call for donations. And dahling… I loved it. šŸ˜‚ But this night belonged to a much bigger collective effort. To the entire @prospect_park Alliance team: congratulations. To everyone who planned, produced, supported, donated, bid, bought a ticket or table, and poured their time and care into making this night possible—thank you. What you created was beautiful, and I’m deeply grateful I got to play a part in it. More than $1 million raised for a place that gives so much back to Brooklyn. šŸ’š What a night. What a team. What an honor. šŸ“ø @jonathangrassi 1,035 likes Ā· 80 comments Ā· 27 Sep 2026 🌿 NATURALLY CURIOUS? A tree’s relationship with water doesn’t end at its leaves. In fact, that relationship helps shape the world around us. šŸŒŽ 🌳 Trees are natural air conditioners. Beyond providing shade, they help cool their surroundings as water evaporates from their leaves. ā˜ļø Forests can help make rain. The moisture released by millions of trees contributes to atmospheric humidity, cloud formation, and regional rainfall patterns. šŸ™ļø Trees are living infrastructure. Urban tree canopies can help reduce extreme heat, making green spaces especially valuable as cities warm. And here’s something worth remembering: Not all trees cool their surroundings equally. Species, canopy size, water availability, and local climate all influence their cooling power. The next time you walk beneath a tree, consider how much that one living organism contributes to the environment around it. A little botanical wonder hiding in plain sight. šŸ’š šŸŽ„ @meredith.b2 06 Nov 2026 Sometimes, when you’ve spent so much time preparing for disappointment, even good news can feel unfamiliar. But hunny, when something good happens, LET YOURSELF ENJOY IT. Celebrate the election victories. Celebrate the progress. Celebrate the little reminders that change is possible, even when the world has given you plenty of reasons to doubt it. And remember, this applies to your own life, too. You don’t have to immediately turn every accomplishment into another goal. You don’t have to minimize your happiness because there’s still work to be done. And you certainly don’t have to feel guilty for finding joy in an imperfect world. A few things worth remembering: šŸ’™ Celebrate the win. Acknowledge what went right before worrying about what comes next. šŸ’™ Protect your energy. Staying informed doesn’t mean staying overwhelmed. Rest, unplug, and return when you have the capacity. šŸ’™ Turn hope into habits. Vote in local elections. Support community organizations. Check on your neighbors. Pay attention to what happens between election cycles. šŸ’™ Remember who helped get you here. Progress is rarely a solo effort. Thank the people who showed up, made calls, organized, volunteered, and kept believing. šŸ’™ Keep showing up for yourself, too. Your dreams, your relationships, your well-being, and your joy deserve that same commitment. Because celebrating progress and recognizing how far we still have to go are not mutually exclusive. We can be grateful for today without becoming complacent about tomorrow. 05 Nov 2026 Some places leave you with memories. Others leave you with entirely new ways of seeing the world. 🌿 One of my favorite things about traveling is discovering a city through its art, history, and relationship with the natural world. And hunny, my recent Field Trip to St. Louis, Missouri, for @counterpublic 2026 gave me plenty to think about! Counterpublic is a citywide public art triennial bringing contemporary art into conversation with the places, histories, and communities that shape St. Louis. This year’s theme, Coyote Time, explores that suspended moment between uncertainty and possibility. What happens when we take a leap without knowing exactly where we’ll land? That question feels especially relevant in a world navigating environmental change, technological advancement, and an uncertain future. One of the installations that stayed with me was World Aquarium by artist @max_hooper_schneider. A fascinating intersection of environmental art, technology, and St. Louis history that made me reconsider what we call natural, what we call artificial, and how closely the two have become intertwined. I’m so grateful to @counterpublic for inviting me to experience this extraordinary exhibition firsthand. šŸŽ„ @toldbyzandr 04 Nov 2026 ā€œYou are someone’s ancestor in training. Be the blueprint, not the apology.ā€ I’ve been sitting with this reminder, especially as we think about the future we’re shaping and the world we’re leaving behind. Legacy isn’t just about what we accomplish or how we’re remembered. It’s about how we show up today. How we care for one another. How we use our voices. How we stand beside our communities. How we practice compassion, even when it’s inconvenient. And perhaps most importantly, how we recognize that our choices, however small they may seem, have consequences beyond ourselves. You don’t have to change the entire world to change someone’s experience of it. Like a garden, the future is shaped by what we choose to nurture today. So this week, I hope we remember that our voices matter, our communities matter, and the decisions we make today help shape the world others will inherit. Plant seeds for a future you’ll be proud to leave behind. šŸŒ±šŸ’š 02 Nov 2026 A lil fashion, a whole lotta flavor, and fifty-eleven reasons to say YUM! šŸ˜‹āœØ Oh, what a delicious evening at @cityharvestnyc’s BID 2026: Peace, Love & City Harvest celebration in New York City! More than 50 of NYC’s incredible chefs, restaurants, and mixologists came together for a night of fabulous food, beautiful company, and an even more beautiful cause: supporting City Harvest’s mission to rescue nutritious food and help feed New Yorkers experiencing food insecurity. From tasting delicious dishes to connecting with the wonderful people behind them, it was a beautiful reminder of how food brings us together. Good food, good company, a lil fashion, and a meaningful cause? Oh, dahling, my kinda evening! ✨ šŸŽ„ @marylandmasshysteria 31 Oct 2026 Back with PART TWO of my vintage shopping adventures, because there were simply too many treasures to squeeze into one post! One of my favorite things about exploring a new city is getting lost in its antique shops, flea markets, and neighborhood brocantes. You never quite know what you’ll discover, and that’s half the fun! A few more tips for your own Paris flea market adventure, dahling! šŸ–¼ļø Don’t overlook the artwork! Vintage paintings, prints, and ornate frames can be surprisingly affordable. And what a lovely souvenir to bring home! šŸ”Ž Take your time! Poke around, look closely, and follow your curiosity. Sometimes the most wonderful finds are the ones you weren’t even looking for. 🧳 Mind your suitcase! It’s all fun and games until you fall in love with something that absolutely will NOT fit in your luggage! šŸ˜‚ And the cherry on top? Secondhand shopping gives beautiful old things another chapter while keeping them out of landfills. We LOVE a little sustainability with our fabulous finds! 🌿 Part 2 of 2. šŸŽ„ @meredith.b2 29 Oct 2026 I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what keeps people going when the work isn’t easy. Statistics can help us understand the scale of hunger. Programs can show us what’s being done about it. But neither tells us everything about the people who choose to dedicate their careers to changing those realities. Spending time with members of the @actionagainsthunger team reminded me that expertise matters—but so do conviction, curiosity, lived experience, and the personal reasons people choose to care. I wanted this final field trip to make room for those voices. Because sometimes learning why someone shows up helps us think a little more deeply about how we might show up, too. šŸŽ„ @meredith.b2 76 likes Ā· 1 comments Ā· 28 Oct 2026 Flowers have symbolized love, resistance, and belonging in the LGBTQ+ community for generations. And hunny, the more I learn about witch hazel, the more fascinating this woodland wonder becomes! Here are three botanical facts you might not know: 🌿 Etymology: The ā€œwitchā€ in witch hazel likely derives from the historical word wice, meaning ā€œpliableā€ or ā€œbendable,ā€ referring to its flexible branches. šŸ Pollination: Its autumn flowers attract insects, with flies and small bees among its likely pollinators. 🌳 Ecology: Witch hazel is a deciduous shrub or small tree that naturally grows in woodland understories, providing cover for wildlife. What I love most about exploring the natural world is realizing how much there is to discover in things we think we already know. Sometimes, following a little curiosity leads us to new places, new people, and a deeper appreciation for the things we encounter every day. And this time, that curiosity is taking me straight to the source! Stay tuned as I touch grass with @thayers and meet the farmers who tend to the witch hazel! 🌱✨ #ThayersPartner 971 likes Ā· 39 comments Ā· 25 Oct 2026 When we hear ā€œfighting hunger,ā€ food distribution may be the first thing that comes to mind. But the infrastructure surrounding food can matter just as much. Data that helps anticipate where malnutrition could rise. Agriculture that adapts when landscapes change. Reliable ways to keep lifesaving treatments safe in extreme conditions. What I appreciated while learning more about @actionagainsthunger is just how multidisciplinary this work has become. Addressing hunger can bring together agriculture, public health, climate science, technology, logistics and community knowledge—all solving different pieces of the same puzzle. Because hunger rarely has just one cause. And that means ending it will never require just one kind of solution. Which of these innovations surprised you most? #paidpartnership šŸŽ„ @meredith.b2 1,355 likes Ā· 19 comments Ā· 24 Oct 2026
