For its annual celebration in Singapore, the French maison invited guests aboard the Faubourg Express, a whimsical voyage from Paris to Singapore that brought its ‘Venture Beyond’ theme to life. The itinerary? A wonderfully imaginative setting, an exquisite dinner by Chef Michael Wilson of Marguerite (@margueriterestaurant), and a series of high-spirited performances that made the journey every bit as memorable as the destination. My latest @grazia.sg adventure took me to Taipei, where we had a date with the ethereal Gwei Lun-mei (@lunmei), our November 2026 cover star. Having captivated audiences (myself very much included) for 24 years and counting, Gwei possesses that rare ability to make even the smallest gesture feel cinematic. Of course, the weather gods had other plans. Typhoon Champi decided to make its grand entrance just as our shoot was about to begin, leaving us with a rather nail-biting 24 hours of uncertainty. But the show must go on, and Gwei graciously agreed. And so, off we went to Taipei’s historic Grand Hotel for an ‘Eloise at the Plaza’-esque escapade, complete with all the glamour, mischief and cinematic magic one could hope for. The resulting images, photographed by Hedy Chang and styled by Melina Chen, are an absolute delight. What was the last thing you were truly obsessed with? Not merely interested in, or briefly taken by, but properly obsessed—the sort of thing you find yourself returning to, reading about, talking about and, perhaps, spending a little too much time thinking about. That question became the starting point for our October issue. Our cover star this month, Shuhua (@yeh.shaa_) of @i_dle_official, knows something about looking closer. After eight years spent honing her craft on stage, she is now turning her attention to acting—and finding herself watching performance differently. “Since I’ve started acting myself, I’ve begun to notice all these little things—micro-expressions, the tone inflections in the way someone uses her voice,” she tells Deputy Editor Cheryl Lai-Lim in her cover story. There is seeing Do Ho Suh’s work in pictures, and then there is standing inside his world. Taking in one of his largest retrospectives at @mmcakorea was quite the experience—particularly his extraordinary work with fabric, memory and ephemerality. The highlight? His childhood home, recreated at 1:1 scale through painstaking charcoal rubbings on mulberry paper. Familiar, ghostlike and deeply personal. Proof, perhaps, that home is as much something we remember as somewhere we live. 29 Sep 2026

At the Longchamp Art Festival in Paris last week, we had the rare privilege of watching @carolinedenervaud at work, transforming movement, instinct and gesture into art before our eyes.
