Cuando terminamos el performance, alguien se acercó y preguntó si lo que estaba haciendo era alguna forma de Tai Chi art. Nunca lo había pensado así, pero entiendo por qué lo dijo. Pintar en un espacio de este tamaño se vuelve un acto meditativo. El cuerpo entero se convierte en una herramienta que se mueve lentamente, siguiendo un ritmo muy fluido, guiado por la música, la poesía y la voz de mi amigo @antagonicoficial , es muy hipnotizante. En ese momento todo se alinea: el gesto, el sonido, la respiración, el movimiento. Es una sensación difícil de explicar, pero muy clara cuando estás dentro de ella y es un ectasis total, no se trata del resultado sino del proceso y la pieza final es una huella de la magia del momento. Agradecimiento a @cc.futurama por invitarnos a presentar nuestro performance y por exponer el resultado final en sus paredes principales. Una de las cosas que más ha influido en mi proceso, además de mis propias vivencias, es que por alguna razón no logro separarme del color negro. Siento la necesidad de atravesarlo. Mi ropa lleva manchas negras, mis uñas siempre tienen vestigios de este color, a veces, por descuido, confundo la pintura con el café. Hay tantas posibilidades dentro del color negro que, de alguna manera, es necesario pasar por él para llegar a la luz. One of the things that has most influenced my process, beyond my own experiences, is that, for some reason, I can’t seem to detach myself from the color black. I feel the need to move through it. My clothes carry black stains, my nails always hold traces of it, and sometimes by accident, I even mistake the paint for my coffee. Esta pieza me sacó totalmente de mi centro y fue un proceso ridículamente intenso. Después de días de trabajar en ella, la veía y no me gustaba. Me preguntaba: debería continuarla? otros días la aceptaba, me hacía sentir completa y le decía: Wow, que hermosa eres! A veces tuve que esconderla en el clóset y fingir que no existía por unos días. Otras veces me daban ganas de vomitar, sentia un vacio en la boca del estomago, me atacaba la inseguridad, la incomodidad... Tantas horas invertidas en algo que todavía no sé a dónde me va a llevar. Vale la pena? me invade la critica. Lo peor y lo mejor de mí salen en el proceso. Todas mis inseguridades y todas mis certezas, todas las voces. Siempre hay algo que me empuja, una fuerza mayor que yo. Una vez que empiezo, no hay vuelta atrás. No puede quedar inconclusa, no la puedo abandonar. Tiene que nacer. Hoy ya esta terminada, después de abrazarla, aceptarla y darle la bendicion la estaré presentando junto con otras obras en la feria de arte con @bureauqueerart del 23 al 25 de octubre en la colonia Juárez CDMX Espero verlos por allá para que conozcan este nuevo comienzo. 18 Oct 2026

These are some of my favorite pieces from the last couple of years. Looking back on them now I can see an evolution from my earlier work, playing in new directions while using techniques that I've always loved. I'm always trying to move forward and explore, but it feels good to sometimes slow down, reflect, and appreciate the process. I’ve been mutating, and my perception of the world has been mutating with me. I feel more sensitive to nature every day, more in need of physical contact with it. I can’t live disconnected from it. Especially not in a city like Mexico City, where it becomes harder and harder to take off your shoes and place your feet on the ground because everything is paved. So what’s left for me is to touch the trees and the plants that cross my path. That simple act has placed me in a space of observation, really looking at the trees we have in the city, noticing how nature coexists within this concrete environment. The trees tell me a lot about myself. About all of us who live in big cities. They feel like a mirror of our own adaptation within this synthetic landscape and this series of abstract artwork talks about this. Thank you to @54_gallery for welcoming my work.
